I'm not quite ready to give up on Andy boy just yet, although he did look like crap vs. Arreola.

I'll wait to see how he does in his next couple of fights since he has stated a renewed desire to reclaim his short-lived reign at the top.

He is more skillled than Rahman.

Not really, whats dangerous is his fast counters and the volume of punches he can throw, but besides that he isn't all that. He's less than or equal to parker, the same Parker that got a gift decision against 37 year old gatekeeper Chisora. Joshua rushed in stupidly and got his porcelain jaw cracked by a counter. In heavyweight anything can happen but Ruiz is a limited fighter with 1 good win (got easily beaten in the rematch) At least Rahman also beat Sanders. Aj and Ruiz have a third fight and a guarantee Aj wins again. I also guarantee that one trick pony Wilder would ice him

Ruiz had one night of glory and he will "literally" dine out on that night for the rest of his life. Also, all you guys who hate AJ will bring it up in every argument or debate. Even when it has nothing to do with the topic. Ruiz has ability, but he never had and never will have the discipline to stay a champion. He is in a bad place right now because the blueprint to beat him has been made. He will try to fight a bunch of bums and hope for another title shot but as soon as he steps up again, he will lose. You guys need to realize this and stop thinking "he can do it" because he can't. He loves food and Instagram pictures more than boxing.

I thought Ruiz was a high level gatekeeper, then a fringe champion after beating Joshua, and now he's back to being a high level gatekeeper. Arreola was tailor made for him and that's why they chose him as an opponent, but Ruiz looked terrible. I wonder if he'll ever get another top 10 win.

A lot of good points being made,
Ruiz like most fighter after the pandemic aren’t looking to good in their 1st fight back.

only Canelo & Inoue have looked spectacular.

Even Lomachenko under performed in his losing effort / first fight back after the pandemic layoff.

only too look back to form in his 2nd fight.

I’ll give him one more fight vs King Kong, before totally writing Andy “fatty Paquiao” Ruiz off.

He's definitely a gatekeeper. Even Tommy Morrison would probably beat him tbh. Ruiz and Parker swapped rounds and the fight was extremely close. Parker then proceeds to loose to Whyte and even gets dropped in round 12, looks like trash against nobody Jr Fa and then gets a decision against 37 year old Chisora in a close fight where the majority feel Chisora edged. Ruiz beats Aj, then gets his head boxed off low difficulty and then gets dropped by shot to atoms Chris Arreola and gets hurt after that and couldn't even get him out of there when he landed on Arreola

At least Rahman also beat Corrie Sanders in addition to his 1 time win over Lennox Lewis.

Ruiz was extremely overrated as hell. People had him as a favorite over Prime Alexander Povetkin and tons also thought he could beat Tua and Ibeabuchi.

It's the Joshua fanboys that still think Ruiz is this monster when the truth is he sucks. At this point i legit favor Luis Ortis over Ruiz

Whatever, you can all slaughter him.. it makes no difference.

Nobody can take away that night he made AJ quit, he took his soul in front of the world.

That says more about Aj than it does Ruiz. But we'll always remember that night. Don't worry. It should be a strict reminder to the fanboys that there's no such thing as an invincible fighter

Ruiz is the 5th best HW. Fury, Usyk, Joshua, Wilder, Ruiz.

whyte and chisora are C levels.

It makes me laugh, Ruiz Jr beat the unified world champion, a lot of people's number 1 at the time in one of the biggest upsets in many many years.

Became the first Mexican heavyweight world champion, secured himself financially and people want to have a pop at him.

So what if it was a flash in pan, a one off, who cares, he achieved greatness even if it was for one night only.

I've never been unified Heavyweight world champion, I've never climbed that mountain so who the hell am i to have a pop.

To be fair, Chris came in shape, went to war, and had some crazy dog in him in his last fight. Then he comes in good shape again against Ruiz. I was overrating Ruiz and thought he’d take him out early, but there was some good reason for all the WAR ARREOLA post

You over rate him by saying he'll be the next Rahman.

    Rahman was a level above.

Ruiz is more like the next Andy Ruiz.

Whyte's left hook would knock Szpilka into the shadow realm. Imagine the KO of Lucas Browne only with Szpilka coming round half hour later.
