Good point. I am looking for a silver lining given that I am flying out there already, now will have to find some other event to anchor the trip.
That graph is misleading. The sections are lit up in blue if *one* seat is available in that section. There are plenty available, but that graph is attempting to convey information falsely. (I know this because I have been watching tickets from AXS and Stubhub like a hawk.)
I enjoy being called mate. Is that a term of endearment? Or just the equivalent of “buddy,”“dude,” or “boss.”
It's bizarre to us because these big HW events sell out in minutes over here - you wouldn't see any blue ever essentially. So if you had to reckon it, how many tickets are sold?
I called this from the moment they announced the fight. Fury only had a month to get ready and he wasn’t going to be ready. They had to come up with something. Plus, no one is going to the fight haha. I absolutely called this…
Was looking obvious to be fair. No official announcement and no advertising on BT, I almost forgot about it with the football on.
There's no way to tell from the outside looking in because some seats are reserved at the outset whether comped or otherwise, and in some cases I think the resellers hold back certain seats until later so portray a sense of scarcity for the best seats. But I can say that of the seats originally for sale (i.e., not being resold), many remain available. In a hot ticket fight you might see available seats scattered here and there, with tickets being sold and resold, but for this fight multiple rows on the lower level have been open from day one. Blocks of open seats tend to indicate a lack of interest, and there are lot of blocks. And there haven't been "new" unsold seats placed by the resellers which suggests they have too much unsold inventory as it is. Hence my theory that sales are soft and the parties may be looking for a way out. Wouldn't surprise me if they end up staging it at a venue that seats more like 12-15k rather than 20k+. The approach for Fury/Wilder always has been to price gauge fans at the gate, and for this bout I don't think it was working.
Only match up in July I really cared about and it's been postponed, boxing continues to be shite.. Can we just have some high level prime-prime fights? Is it that much to ask for?
There are plenty of good fights this month. Golden boy card this Friday, Charlo vs Castano, Matchroom July 31st card and etc.
