He only fought Bellew a few years ago and made many, many millions from those two fights. Doubt he's skint at all.
After the nonsense Chisora got up to during the Parker fight build-up - refusing to ring-walk first, needing his mum to calm him down etc etc - you could see Haye's frustration wasn't just for the cameras; he looked completely done with it all. No wonder either. He's done his job getting Chisora into big money pre-retirement fights and kept him relevant beyond his level. Wouldn't be surprised to see Haye working with Matchroom a bit more in the future after this, they seem to have mutual desire for a pound note.
After expenses he was probably left with a few million most of which was swallowed up by creditors, the reason he took the fights in the first place. Hopefully his new business venture will work out: https://uk.news.yahoo.com/david-haye-launches-mask-nhs-080400425.html
When it comes to making money, all that was said in that press conference can be and will be forgotten.
Haye definitely isn’t broke, has a Georgian mansion in London, drives around in a rolls royce and his son goes to a prestigious school. If that’s broke then I want to be broke.
Why on earth would Hearn need David Haye? You are talking about one of the biggest sports promoters in the world and one of the worst promoters ever known to boxing. Haye is a joke to Hearn.
It's all smoke and mirrors with David what you see is not always what is seems. I rated him at cruiser and thought he had a decent career but when he turned heavyweight it all went down hill. Possibly one of the worst heavyweight champions of the modern era and one of the biggest con men in the sport.
Eh? Did you reply to my post in error? I didn't say Hearn needs Haye. I SAID when it comes to making money, you can forget about what they say about each other in press conferences.
For a fighter who should never have been on pay per view really...im not gonna begrudge chisora his ppv loot....he's bin in some great fights over the years...always made people work for there wins give or take one or 2 fights Guy basically in the space of a night brought heavyweight boxing back from the brink
Rumour has it Dereck and Penfold have been going out for years, don't just take my word for it. The reason Chisora and Haye parted ways was because Toe was going to reveal all and War wasn't ready to come clean. Like I said, just rumour, but it's on good authority.
