Until someone has the ability to go 120-1 during their prime (and going 5-1 against the person that gave him the 1), Sugar Ray Robinson is the GOAT.

Honestly, if Robinson isn't the greatest, who is? Duran maybe? I can't conceive of anyone else............

Pac for me has definitely done enough to be in consideration for being one of the top 10 ATG's. He's the Duran of this era, jumping up through the weight divisions, compiling a resume with some of the best fighters of his generation, fighting well above his natural weight and not only beating bigger men but dominating them. Throw in his longevity as well and I struggle to see how anyone can say he's not one of the best ever.

People will nit pick, say he hasn't got as many wins as some past champions, but how can you compare that when he's fighting in an era when fighters fought less. It would be like criticising SRR for having 19 losses when in the context of his era when fighters fought way more you obviously end up having more losses as you can't just fight twice per year and peak specifically for 2 days out of 365 when SRR had to be ready to fight almost all the time.

Some will say Pac has too many losses, well that happens when you constantly fight the best, you can't be at your best all the time, especially when your fighting guys like Barrera, JMM and Morales all withing a period of 16 months, you'll have an off night and pick up a loss, nobody can be 100%, 100% of the time.

Some will say he wasn't the best of his era. Mayweather was better. But Mayweather waited until he had 2 losses back to back to fight him and Mayweather is a natural welter while Pac weighed only 151lbs in the ring when he was KO'ed by JMM. Pac isn't a natural welter, he could probably still make light weight if he cut water weight. Were talking about best P4P of all time so you have to factor in Pac's achievements are above his natural weight. What he did is basically like Mayweather going up to middle and cleaning out the division. So Mayweather maybe the better fighter but Pac is the better P4P fighter.

Duran had multiple losses lately in his career while Pac had impressive wins later in his career and some of his losses were real robbery.

Could you not tell I was joking ? Ottke and Calzaghe whilst having their value are no where near the greatest of all time.

I can’t wrap my mind around how any “L” takes away from the greatness of a boxer. That is just
Silly so I agree with you.

When you face great opposition you might not win all the time. Judges are worthless and not every boxer can WIN by KO.

He's not the only one claiming that: Mosley and Cotto confessed that after their fights with him. Lampley, steward, and co said he was the best offensive fighter since sugar Ray Leonard. He RUINED Margarito. Naseem Richardson said Manny's forearm was the hardest wrist he ever felt when he lifted his hand. I think I'm not sure though, he caused Bradley to break his leg due to put him off balance. Bradley said there is great mode then there is god mode (Manny Pacquiao) also he made Brandon Rios cry like a little girl after beating him. He was compared to Henry Armstrong in the ring magazine, the question is where does he go from here ? In the legacy scheme of things. Also if there was a 3 knockdown rule Juan Marquez would have been stopped in round one first fight.

Did Pac even beat the best LW, WW, LMW? Hell, he didn't really beat the best JrWW as Hatton was all but shot when Pac fought him.

perhaps, but not having done those things does not take away from the things he actually did, and thats what he is being judged on.

So Hatton was shot when he fought Pac...but just before, Hatton was the first top stop Paulie...something Cotto couldn't even do. Only an ASSOL would think Hatton was shot...
