I acknowledge that he was the ring and lineal champion. That's not my point. When Pacquiao chose to campaign at LW and SLW he sought out the weakest opponents, there were many younger and strong fighters at that time.

I'm not knocking down his decision for going after the money fight, or for doing easy pickings, that's boxing and most fighters would have done that. I'm a realist though. If someone is going to claim Pacquiao is the GOAT in a boxing forum, I'm going to spit facts.

The titles at 135 and 140 were plain and simply snatch and grabs. They had no intention in proving Pac was the best in those division, they never cred about fighting the best. Dacid Diaz was a paper champion who won a controversial fight against Morales who was shot and had already lost to Pacquiao. Everyone knew Hatton was shot to **** having been KTFO by brittle hands Mayweather, almost KTFO by feather fisted Collazo and by Lazcano.

IDGAF what your point is Lancey. I'm making my point, if you or any other fool chooses to ignore it because it doesn't fit your narrative that's your problem.

My point stands, regardless of what other factors you or anyone bring up.

Beating Hatton, Morales, De La Hoya, Margarito, Mosley, Cotto does not make Pacquiao better than Duran, Ray Leonard, Ray Robinson, Ali, Greb, even Mayweather and a host of other fighters who fought the best when it mattered.

Pac's title at LW holds as much weight as Fielding's WBA title at SMW, and his title at 154 holds as much weight as Haney's title at LW.

So while the casual fan and the Pacstan eat it up, die hards know Pac's career was carefully orchestrated post Barrera.

You can't shred the resume and then say top 15 at absolute best is possible.

Pac is a great fighter I never denied that. I'm saying he's not the GOAT, he's not a top 10 ATG and he's not greater than SRL who's not even a top 10 ATG either.

I wasn't aware this was a Canelo thread.

    Pac's best wins:

    • Barrera, was his best, still a top fighter but on the down side of his prime
    • Morales- losses to Barrera and coming off a loss to Zahir Raheem lol
    • Marquez- GiftX2 or 3 if you count the draw a gift
    • De La Hoya coming off a loss to Mayweather, weight drained, shot to ****
    • Hatton coming off a brutal TKO loss to Mayweather, almost KTFO by feather fisted Collazo, and Lazcano
    • Cotto coming off a brutal beatdown by Margarito
    • Maragrito coming off a brtal beatdown by shot Shane Mosley
    • Mosley coming off an embarrassing schooling by Mayweather (Pac sure loves them Mayweather left overs lol)
    Losses:
    • KTFO by Torrecampo lol
    • KTFO by Sungsurat
    • Taken to school by a shot Erik Morales coming off a loss to Barrera
    • Beat by B level Tim Bradley who had two damaged ankles
    • KTFO by pudgy Marquez, a natural FW
    • Completely schooled and embarrassed by Mayweather
    • Beat up by journeyman Jeff Horn
    Controversial fights
    • Long count against Nedal Hussein (Should have been another KTFO loss)
    • Gift draw against Agapito Sanchez
    • Gift draw against Marquez
All in all Pac should have at least 10 losses 4 by KO, and could have been 5 by KO had the Sanchez fight not been stopped.
Pac has had a very nice career, has proven to be an elite fighter that can beat most B level fighters. He is the benefactor of fighting in an era where the talent pool isn't as deep as it was when he was coming up the ranks.
He struggles against fighters who aren't afraid of him and are strong and have good ring IQ.

Pac's career has been carefully managed in an opportunistic style to get name fighters in the ring when they are on the decline, vulnerable, or flat out shot.

Pacquiao avoided random testing and demanded to have and know a cut off date if he was going to submit to testing. Freddie Roach has also suggested that he was juicing when he was working with Alex Ariza. Pacquiao has moved up in weight multiple times without changing his fight style or losing speed, or out put. His head has gotten ridiculously big, and is fighting in his 40's as fresh as ever.

Most respectable lists I have seen have him 30 at most. His longevity maybe GOAT but prime vs prime I don't see him better than Marquez or Morales.

 all this crap typed for nothing? You only follow cash cows....you have no room to talk about orchestrated careers.

And yes, it was your point. You flat out said Hatton was shot. He was not. I don't care for you ridiculously biased account on Pac's career. You can't even stick to your own narrative on Hatton FFS.

i think he is better than Marquez. when they first met jmm was a post grad student of boxing, while pac was still in high school, trying to decide what style hes gonna major in when he gets to college. i was a big marquez fan back then, thought he was underated and under most peoples radar. didnt even know pac that well. and i was more impressed with how jmm handled being put on his ass 3 times and coming back to out box manny, than i was with pac dropping him in the first place. but i knew both were quality. what convinced me he was better is how they handled their other challenges.
morales, i could find a case for that argument at morales best weight. but i would feel a bit silly, when morales himself is calling manny the goat.
i currently have manny around 22-24, but my list is garbage, as most of these lists are. i just have not studied enough great fighters personally to put any credence in any list i make on the subject. so my list is comprised of a few personal opinions, and many from others whos opinions i respect.

lol, who was better than an undefeated Hatton at 140, the lineal champ? Hatton lost at 147 after being dragged up by Mayweather.

YOU cry about these fake 'secret shakes', but your boy was the one busted. You are the worst type of moron....the kind who thinks he's smart. You're dumb as rocks....

Now go ahead and ask your dumb question again, "Der..wut do cunalo haves to do wit dis?"

You also never criticise Canelo for failed drug tests, fighting shot fighter, questionable decision victories, or catch-weights.

That is why you are a hypocrite.
