I think this is an interesting match up at welterweight, so how ? Unlike money, Pretty Boy is a devastating puncher

    I’d pick Floyd by decision

I feel like Floyd could punish him and school him at the same time, pretty boy floyd has better defense, faster hands, accuracy & footwork. His punching skill is not that far off compared to trinidad too

Tito could crack but he didn't have the best of chins- wasn't horrible but it did let him down from time to time.
He's taller then Mayweather and he can be relentless at times but DE LA Hoya baffled him with movement for most of thier bout.
I would say Mayweather but I would be curious how he reacted to the power.

This is mental. Trinidad's career is overshadowed by his last few performances. He was a non stop come forward terminator in his prime with an endless gas tanks, and phenomenal power. He was somewhat one dimensional, but that one dimension was a juggernaut. he was also huge for welterweight. Floyd is by far the superior fighter with the better skills, but his life would seriously be at risk with this one .

I don't think Trinidad fares too well with primarily defensive fighters. Out of prime Pernell Whitaker was able to give Tito hell. PBF was in his prime and was good defensively and more offensively adventurous than Sweet Pea. Also, Mayweather has a better gas tank and can crack. Tito had great power but he was often off-balance in the way he moves around the ring, which is a weakness that Floyd can easily exploit. I don't see this fight lasting the distance. I see PBF TKO Tito late stoppage in the modern championship rounds (10-12) after displaying a beautiful boxing clinic.

For me, I don't think that Trinidad's power can't really help him that much. I feel like Mayweather's normal to power punchers like trinidad. He did well against a power puncher like Maidana and regardless if trinidad punches harder than maidana, taking a clean counter like that (the one at the end of the bell) is not a punch that you could still be on your feet. I just feel that Trinidad's overwhelming pressure is gonna play a huge role in this fight considering that shoulder roll defense are not the best defense for overwhelming punches for example : Augustus v Mayweather, Leonard v Mayweather Sr. & Toney v Jirov. All of these of fights showed that relentless pressure & nonstop punches is a shoulder roll user's weakness. That means Trinidad needs an huge amount of stamina, durability & a decent chin to win this fight

PBF can't stand in front of Trindad. He would have to move a lot and loses a decison (maybe a suffering a KD in the process). It is a bit more complicated than beating an over the hill Dela Hoya in a close fight.

Seems unrealistic to me, Trinidad is a traditional fighter type boxer, Mayweather could easily shoulder roll all of his punches and counter one or two. It's not like trinidad is weaker, I feel like this is a bad matchup for trinidad. And Floyd doesn't need to move much in my opinion cuz like I said, he can shoulder roll all of them and mayweather has shown that time and time again. C'mon bro, I've been trying to bring up match ups where the modern boxers could win & I think if you still imagine Trinidad could beat Floyd I feel like that's just your biased towards him. Boxers who can beat Floyd are people like Ray Leonard who possess overwhelming speed.

If you still can't imagine floyd shoulder rolls try watch his highlights reels. Watch his fight against marquez, dela hoya & corrales. Trinidad is very strong boxer indeed he is, but styles does matter. Trinidad could go all day with amazing punchers like Maidana, Pacquiao, Barrera but he's weak to defensive boxers. It's plain logic. Almost everybody in this thread understands why Floyd has an edge in this fight.

I think Trinidad was a deadly puncher in the welterweight divisions with pin point accuracy. I can only think of Hearns as stronger puncher in those divisions. I can't see Floyd easily rolling and ducking like you say.

Tito is underrated now. This fight is not at middle but at welterweight. Tito has an impressive track record there: delahoya (prime), vargas, Reid, camacho, whitaker etc.

But I hope you can understand that Floyd has really big edge like almost everybody in this thread notice. Mayweather has better footwork, reflexes, handspeed, accuracy & footwork.
