Headingley, 4 Sept. Maxi Hughes fighting the Mexican who recently beat Tennyson. Quick look at Katie Taylor's opponent shows she's fighting a featherweight who's had 1 fight in 3.5 years. Hardly game changed.
I live very close to this stadium. Will be getting tickets. Headingley is a great night on the ****. Loads of pubs and sexy student girls around.
I'm up there for cricket this weekend and you're right it is good. Shame it'll be full of idiots singing Leeds songs come fight night.
Hardly ground breaking, the Warrington fight is quite interesting for as much as he was so caught out in the first. Katie Taylor fight is moderate, and I don't see Maxi Hughes doing much against that lad. A solid 5/10 for me
Eddie’s cards need to be judged 6-12 months from now. Obviously loads of fighters have just fought, a lot are tied up in other obligations etc. Let’s see when the path is clear.
If he’s a Yorkshire man that’s to be expected. It’s a decent card. Lara / Warrington is fascinating whichever way you look at it and it’s hard to pick a winner because we don’t know if Josh was off that night, if Lara was that good or a mixture of the two. Taylor’s opponent is decent but inactive. Should be a routine points win for her but it’ll be an exciting bout which is common of Taylor fights anyway. Maxi Hughes is on a brilliant run at the moment. Outside of flattening Tennyson, don’t know much of the opponent but it’s another great step for Hughes who should get a title shot after this (I know this is for the IBO but surely it doesn’t count if your name isnt Eubank.)
It's only the first three cards at that price. I'm not going to spend the few summer Saturday nights we get restriction free watching these cards.
If you're a boxing fan, Dazn at £1.99 a month is a must. I am interested in the Main Event. Big pressure fight for Warrington. Atmosphere will be great. Will be nice to see Taylor box live but more interested in the Hughes fight tbf.
It is early still, maybe I exeptected too much too soon but these cards are more Name Changed than Game Changed.
It's not a must. Not these cards. I am busy the first two fight nights anyway and I won't be able to avoid spoilers via social media. Warrington fight is one that has me interested slightly more but that's not going to be the £1.99 price
