No and also not at CW. Also Beterbiev I think is huge for LHW but not enough large size and weight lad for modern CW division top lads etc alike. Most likely he reduced weight cos lesser bf % because hard training for pros etc alike. He is smaller than Usyk for example.
Beterbiev is not a natural HW. Amateur Heavyweight = Professional Cruiserweight. He is in his late 30s, if he wanted to fight at cruiserweight then he would have already left by now. Cruiserweight isn't the money division for lightheavies like heavyweight is for cruisers.
He would have to bulk up 30 lbs or so just to be competitve with good heavyweights. He is small for cruiserweight, forget heavyweight.
You are so sure just because he is from Russia? He is less crude than Gerald was when he was supposed easily to beat Nigel Benn. Of course boxers origin matters more than real life: he was elite level amateur with damn very long mileage under belt when he had turned into a pro. For you this doesn't matters, boxer's origin is 1 st criteria.
Like this, I suspect that a bit smaller than Gvozdyk, good shape pro Beterbiev maybe might be ~190 lbs not more and this is too small weight for modern CW division.
Beterbiev is natural CW, his best weight is 188 pounds/85 kg He could win tittle there, but he can't beat Briedes.
Imagine Beterbiev in the ring with Aslanbek Makhmudov,,,,then imagine Beterbiev being carried out of the ring wearing a neck brace on a stretcher .
What does him being from Russia have anything to do with what I posted?? Beterbiev beats most of his fighters by plowing through them. He isn't no Dimtry Bivol.
Yeah, he does not box for judges cards and he now is old. This is what this is but he had excessive am background, including fights vs Usyk, Hunter, Kovalev in ams, bunch with notable am boxers etc and long am mileage under belt. Yeah, I can't mark him as unskilled, most likely guy does knows that he can't afford to leave this on the judges. Now he looks that is old, yeah.
