That's because Castano was out classing him. Charlo was in over his head.

In some of the rounds. But there were a good amount of rounds that Mell didn't get caught on the ropes and he controlled range with the jab.

He wasn't controlling the fight with the jab, because there were plenty of rounds that he abandoned the jab, and punching in general for that matter. But there were a number of rounds that he did control Castaño with the jab and landed enough power punches to edge a couple of those rounds.

If it wasn't for Uncle Al the Charlo's wouldn't be able to go home the winner in fights they Clearly lost. If GGG was with Al Hayman Canelo may never win a round against GGG. That might be the answer to the GGG vs Canelo scoring problem.

Charlo's jab was more effective vs Castaño when he committed to it. But Charlo was inconsistant with it, some rounds he just forgot about it. GGG's jabs weren't very effective on Canelo, and on the flipside, Canelo landed far more stiff jabs on GGG than Castaño landed on Charlo so it's a moot point. The point wasn't to compare this to Canelo vs GGG, it was to point out that Castaño had very low jab landed #s and Charlo at times showed that he has a great jab when he commits to it and in some of the rounds was very effective with it.

So if Canelo fights Plant will Canelo get robbed. After all Oscar's no longer with Canelo to rigg fights for him anymore right.

But he still got outlanded in the exchanges in those rounds and got caught with hooks at mid range.

OK it seems like most people agree that Mell won rounds 2, 10, 11 and 12 (though I know 11 and 12 were close). And MAYBE you can give Charlo round 6 which was pretty close. So then all you need is one other round to give to Mell for a draw. (1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, or 9). Now I know Round 3 was another close round but Mell legs did buckle late in the round from that hook.

Please, 10-2 or 8-4 at best maybe 8-2-2, the fight was one sided enough to overcome the fact that it was Charlo in Texas. Enough to overcome A Canelo in Vegas if that's possible.

Say what you want, this fight was all that is right with boxing in terms of two champions in their prime fighting each other

Seems you have alot of practice trying to justify robberies, a robbery is a robbery. You can't call black white and white black your behaving like the MSM.

all things considered, i think everyone got something good out of it. castano deserved the win. pretty clearly, imo. but hes not losing his title and he gave the general boxing public a proper introduction. i want to see him again, whereas yesterday i hardly knew who he was.

I wasn't really scoring the match too closely, but I didn't think a draw was unreasonable. I thought Castaño was gonna get the win, but I wasn't shocked at the draw given how Charlo fought in the last 3 rounds. He dug down deep and scraped out a draw. It wasn't a terrible decision or anything, I understand you and others thinking Castaño did enough to win but the draw was very reasonable given how close it was. 117-111 Charlo, no Charlo didn't win no 9 rounds but the draw was fine.

These judges don't score even rounds so if you have to pick a winner in every round, Mell gets 2, 10, 11 and 12 for starters. The other rounds that that judges gave to Charlo were rounds 4-6. All 3 judges gave Charlo the 5th, 2 judges gave him the 6th and 1 judge gave him the 4th.

You call every decision a robbery. I'm not justifying anything, it was a close competitive fight and the draw was perfectly reasonable given how close it was. I think it's much harder to justify a Charlo win than a Castaño win, and I thought Castaño was gonna win before the decision was announced but I wasn't shocked at the draw or anything.

Charlo got his ass whooped, then had the audacity, him and his brother both to act like he won. He got whooped in front of the world. Wew, thanks Uncle Al, i owe you one.
