He'll survive Wilders, he'll fight him the same probably as he did all the big hitters. He'd have Wilder absolutely blowing by the tenth and stop him shortly after. In me humble opinion.
Most fighters had punches their susceptible to. Ali was no different. But it's the left hook, not the right hand. So lean to a atg fighter with a quick, hard left hook. Prime Louis, Frazier, Liston ,and Tyson would be my top 4. I'll add prime Holyfield (When he had hair, and not over muscled ) and Bowe (At the top of his game) to that list. They would have the best chance of doing it. A very small chance.
I think Louis may break him down and manage to stop him eventually over 15. I also think Tyson at his best would probably just be a bad style match up for him
More than just floored him, weren’t no flash knockdown. Would have stopped him if the bell hadn’t rang and he was able to follow up his attack.
Well, yes and no. The problem isn't that those men lacked power, but that Ali was very elusive. Liston was old and unprepared when he fought Ali, so maybe a 58-60 version of Liston could have managed to catch him.
Wilder hits harder than Shavers. And he's also faster. Maybe he can land, but I wouldn't bet on it given how Wilder is not the most skilled HW out there.
Of course they did. My point is is wasn't their lack of punching power that hampered them, but their inability to land. Although in Liston's case, he can be excused since he was older than stated and did not train properly.
Tyson is no. 1. He has the speed, the power and the accuracy to land. Early 90s versions of Lewis, Holyfield and Bowe also stand a good chance since they were faster back then. I'll also add Vlad. I don't really see any others.
If Henry Cooper could make Ali take a seat then the list of fighters may be longer than the OP expects.
If the title of the thread was 'Which heavyweight could knock Ali out if he stood still and let them land their best shot?' you may, this once, have a good point. But it's not. So, once again, you haven't. A few other posters have tried to point this out to you to little avail so perhaps we should all just say 'prime Tyson and a few others who competed in the 90s but no-one before' just to keep you happy.
You don't get it. The original poster mentioned Ali's chin, in part alluding to the fact that nobody hit hard enough to KO Ali. At least that's what I understood.
