No. He’s very smart and so too is his management. He will be picking very clever opponents for the next couple of fights. It will likely be someone like Dillon Danis who would snap jake in half in any fight that’s not straight boxing and to be fair the type to try and choke him out in a boxing match too. But has terrible boxing skills. The KSI fight makes sense too. I do think they will match him against a boxer at some point down the line. But it won’t be until someone very winnable comes along or a cash out like Floyd
Once Canelo left GBP I don't think DAZN was looking to resign with Oscar. GBP doesn't have enough star power and I think Canelo is telling Ryan Garcia to leave Oscar as well.
If De La Hoya leaves DAZN and goes to Triller, he's dead. Let's be honest, the Lopez fight isn't going to happen and Lopez has said he's going back to Top Rank. Can any promotional company survive showing their fights on Fite TV PPV? Haven't they got a Michael Hunter headlined show on PPV soon? That will do about 20 buys, if they're lucky. I'll be sad to see Golden Boy leave DAZN because their shows are at least as good as Matchroom USA, probably better and clearly Garcia is in the process of leaving Golden Boy to go with Canelo and Hearn. Oscar is going to actually end up on Triller fighting exhibitions with various ' legends ' just to make ends meet.
A Apparently what came to light in the Canelo lawsuit with GBP. Was GBP who had no TV deal leveraged Canelo to get a TV deal from DAZN who were not in the market for them and solely Canelo. GBP insisted the Canelo contract was signed with them and was a broad TV deal whereby Canelo fights were part of that. Canelo was not privy to that and believed he had a deal directly with DAZN which was shady from GBP. DAZN wanted out from GBP immediately after but agreed to honour the rest of the contract. They will be going likely to Triller as soon as the deal is up. The best thing that GBP could do is buy out Oscar as he will be there downfall. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ryan Garcia actually end up under Canelo promotions and they actually pick up the GBP dates in conjunction with Matchroom similar to what they are doing with him in Mexico currently
Haye said recently he is being paid more to fight his mate in a exhibition on Triller than what he earned to fight Bellew. Hunter said he earned more fighting each these nobodies on Triller than what he got from MatchRoom for Povetkin fight.
