Just be happy that boxing has 3 judges, so that 2 judges can overrule 1 rogue judge. Then you jump off the rails going from that to claiming the draw was ridiculous, too. Bro get a hold of yourself. Obviously Charlo winning 9 rounds was ridiculous, but the draw was fine. Charlo winning rounds 2, 5, 6, 10, 11 and 12 is very reasonable. People love to be outraged and take it to the extreme. Anyone can look back at those rounds and conclude that those are reasonably Charlo rounds.

 

Understood about VADA and their role, I was trying to insinuate a judging organization operating at a high level.. My idea would be an organization that holds its judges to a higher standard than what we have now with accountability to the fighters and fans that these judges are trained, competent, ethical and will do their job correctly. This is pie in the sky wishful thinking I know, but it could be possible.

 

Was it better when the ref was one of the judges? Maybe we should go back to the old days before 10 point must system when judges scored even rounds.

 

No, it still happens in th UK, and they very often score it for the homie or featured fighter if they get shown up by the opponent. Also, referees have often shown to be as biased to crooked as judges, so it wouldn't matter. It hardly ever is a case of competence or view on the action, otherwise bad officionating should be as much in favor of the visiting fighter as it is for the homie/a-side. Instead it's more like 95 to 5%.

 

Yeah. Not that difficult to do. All score cards dropped in a box. Then 3 are pulled out randomly and announced. Charlo did not win 6 rounds.But, since I preach objectivity, I will rewatch the fight and see if my opinion changes.

Cards like this, the 119-109 scorecard against Lomachenko are turned in and clowns like @shadow111 have the nerve to pretend that boxing isn't corrupt to it's core. Not point in trying to reason with these people, just mock and ridicule.

Why be reductive? This is a boxing forum, we discuss things pertaining to boxing, corruption being one of them. That's the thing though, you aren't a fan of boxing, you're only a fanboy of a certain fighter. It's laughable that you pretend as if you're the adult in the room on here.

 

I can assure you I'm a fan of boxing, probably a bigger fan of boxing than you are. You must not be seeing things too clearly to be making such assessments of me. I pride myself on being the anti-fanboy and the rare objective unbiased scorer around here.

 

I like your style....with a mature attitude like that you can go far in boxing. I've been involved in boxing, including in admin / organisational capacities (at a low / local level) and yours in the kind of mindset that I can work with. No teenage Utopian dreams of what should but never could be. Deal with what is, not dream about what should or would or could be(...and aren't all out dreams different anyway!) .

You need to look at the positives instead of being so negative. I don't know if there was any corruption involved in those scores - and neither do you. Personally I think people, despite themselves, seem to wish there was more corruption in the game than there actually is. Ref blows a call - 'oh, corruption'...dud judge hands up a dud scorecard - 'oh, its corruption!'. They want boxing to be more exciting so they scream out corruption....its sad and pathetic. I think these people are imputing malign intentions to ordinary mistakes, and people, including you, should have a more positive, beneficial outlook on things. No one likes a gloomy downer.

 

You had Canelo winning against GGG in both fights. Let's not kid ourselves, your mother drank far too much Patrón when you were in the womb.
