My vote is on Jones. till his athleticism declined it was a very lethal unorthodox move. Though as we saw it is a very youthful move so speak needing young mans speed and an old mans timing. Sung Kil Moon was a fighter who used an outreached right hand a ton to lead and If he hadn't had a diamond chin and sand bag fists I think he would have had a losing record lol. In his fight with Bueno the wear had shown and he was countered nearly every single time he threw it.

Hopkins mastered throwing it from out of range, dipping in with the head and holding. It was effective.

If true that's a very interesting tidbit, and unexpected too....I'd imagine Greb would be doing different things to allow that kind of indulgence.

Not much more dispiriting that having some joker bopping you with right hand leads and not know how he's managing to do it....as Hopkins got into his final third of his career and really started getting uber-smart you can see him make use of the right hand leads as a psychological weapon as much as a tactical one.

Yep, Hopkins would be my pick to show a youngster how its done...he had a few variations but one come from an ever slight body drop to lurch some body-weight forward and then he'd throw his right lead quick off from his shoulder. Very little telegraphing...the billy goat follow-up headbutt is optional.

Absolutely! His use of lead right hands against Tarver was a masterclass. Tarver had no answer.

For a master class, revisit the 1st round of Ali/Foreman, time and again Ali found the target, big George had planned on Ali dancing/running so those hard and accurate leads gave him pause for thought, he new then that the fight was not going to be as easy as the boxing world had told him. keep well.
