While Hagler is more skilled, I do think there is a huge possibility that Canelo beats prime Hagler under today's weigh in rules.
Hagler likely walked around under 165 while Canelo walked around over 175, and according to Oscar, 185 to 190.
Under today's weigh in regulations, Canelo would easily rehydrate to 10 pounds over Hagler and use his size for his advantage. Now, Hagler's skills will certainly neutralize it but a smaller great boxer will have difficulty with the larger good boxer.

P4p Hagler is far far more skilled than that pure con artist. The only thing he has on Hagler is unnecessary exaggerated head movement and size. The size part could negate many of Haglers advantages

Hagler was in wars whereas Canelo just obviously pays his opponents to not win

Weight wont be an issue for Hagler, he will make Canelo work more than GGG in a first fight and Saul has never fought somebody of the caliber and style of Marvin. For me its a complete miss-match

Clenbuterol had weighted almost 175 in weight ins for fight vs cherry picked shot Kovalev, so this for sure means that at least a bit less than 185 lbs? clenbuterol beef meat in the ring.

Canelos head movement isn't that exaggerated. Punches are usually only just missing him.

175 is prolly his ring weight. According to Oscar he weighs around 185-190 outside

There's no way, no way Canelo beats Marvelous Marvin Hagler by any rules. Canelo starts gassing out around the 10th round and Marvin begins to dismantle him and the beat down ends in the 12th or 13th . What's the steroid kid gonna do? he can't outbox Hagler with Marvin's poppin right jab in his face , and he sure can't wobble Hagler and knock him out.

Hagler would beat the ginger off of Alvarez. Alvarez’s lead-footedness would be a fatal handicap in a fight against Hagler.

Oscar wants to fight Canelo and rematch Floyd. I think Floyd will be down for it provided it’s winner take all the money. If the Canelo fight happens I am afraid it will be homicide.

Canelo destroys him in hideous mismatch.

Hagler today would be a welterweight

Canelo is massive under modern rehydration rules and especially with his clenbuterol antics to cut even more water weight. He'd be a big LHW in Hagler's day whereas Hagler would be junior middle nowadays. People saying Hagler destroys him are having a hit of the old nostalgia pipe. Frankly I think Canelo would have a healthy shot of beating MMH under these rules.

Canelo is not really bigger than Hagler. If Hagler was fighting today, he would likely put on more muscle and weigh 170+ on fight night. He kept his weight low because of same day weigh-ins.
