Why are people trash talking to jermell like he just got beat up by a nobody, brian is a world class fighter if you actually know boxing. He's not some random part timer from argentina, he's just not from the USA. I give credit to jermell for taking this challenge on and giving it his best. Of course I thought brian won, but i'm okay with a draw because jermell finished strong.
I dksab but still gonna comment here. First, Castano is not a world class, his best "win" is a draw with old ass Lara. Second, Charlo fought half assed, he knew that judges are on his side, when he realised that he lost first half of the fight, he started to throw some leather in round 10. It was one of the stranges rounds i have ever seen, because suddenly lethargic Charlo waked up and started landing almost at will and seriously hurt Castano. For me Castano won a fight, but i dont see world class fighters in this division.
People love to ignore size advantage these days. Jermell was fkn huge in comparison and still got dominated 8-4/9-3. Fighters who rely purely on size aren't good theyre just pussies.. Stop cherrypicking and fight guys your on size. . Embarassing...
compared to giving charlo the UD or SD, yes a draw is fine. I wasn't crying robbery because I believe you have to seriously whoop the champ to be the champ. Had brian dropped jermell or had him ready to be knocked out it would be a robbery.
You named some russian fighters because you think i am biased towards them? haha. They are not world class, world class was Kovalev if you want my opinion.
It depends how you rate a world class? Champs with these pro boxing orgs paper belts for entertainers? Top 3? Top 5? Top 10? Top 15? Top 25 from 1000 and more pro boxers in the world? If the boxer is in top 15 from 1000 boxers in his weight class, is he a world class or no? The same Pov wasn't widely recognised champ but he was ranked in top 3, top 5 and top 10 by bunch with western boxing orgs and media etc during very long years in row. Not that bad he was.
ah ok, for me world class is like best of the world, not division, kinda like p4p list. Castano is now probably the best fighter in a mediocre division, thats how i see it.
That's been the story of 154 for a while. Weight bullies with mediocre skill like the Charlos and Hurd ruling largely on that. Nice to see someone like Castano challenge this trend with his superior skill and heart. Have to say that have begun to appreciate Lara more as well, he's not always great to watch, but he's a skilled operator who fights all comers, and has been robbed quite a bit in his career as well.
Jermell has a huge frame it's completely obvious from the fight he is a standard bang average weight bully
I think it's less the fact he lost to Castano and more he needed some dubious scorecards to ensure he didn't lose again, that's why he's getting heat.
You don't score matches based on a fighter's size. One day you should learn how to score a boxing match. It's on a round by round basis regardless of size.
