It’s an interesting matchup. Canelo’s stronger than ever but seems to rely on his opponent being overly cautious of his power. Hagler will be outweighed, but his chin should hold up. I think it would probably look like GGG rematch, just coming down to who lands more shots, where I’d go with Hagler

yes, it’s ridiculous that a guy would choose to put on more weight if he has 2 days to rehydrate.

    ridiculous.

LHW was massively popular then, and middleweight was not the glamour division. Hagler, after a good seven undisputed title defences, wasn't appreciated until he fought Duran and Hearns.

Back then, beating the best in your division was considered more important than rising through the weight divisions picking up trinkets - of which there are way more now, making it more plausible and, therefore, more likely to be a goal. And for most of his career, Hagler didn't even have SMW as a staging post between 160 and 175. The route was more perilous and less rewarding for this.

Hagler didn't go up in weight because he didn't need or want to...

Hagler would be 147lbs today rehydrating to 160 rather than weighing in at 160, Canelo is over 180lbs when he gets into the ring, it would look similar to if Canelo fought Spence, I'm not saying Hagler fights like Spence, just the size, Canelo would just be too big, there is no shame in admitting that

He had done everything at Middleweight, if he could've moved up, of course he would've and added to his legacy, but he didn't because he wasn't cutting much weight at all to get to middleweight, 5lbs at most

No. He is just next casual racing horse in business nothing more.
Only one thing he might have as special maybe is natural beef meat and the best ever in the world cherry picking and natural juice.

Cherry picking is core to be good boxer in eyes of casuals.
Lol, even to get for a title fight boxer who had 0-2-1 record in his last 3 fights.

If we're talking size, then Fully Obel would be larger, no? Obelmejias eventually won a world title at super middleweight.

Yeah, got me there. Forget about Obel. Although I'd definitely like add quickly that there's no way Minter is 5'9, he looked every bit the 6'0/6'1 that Obel was.

    You are being silly.

Pacquiao and Mayweather don't cut a lot of weight when fighting at 147. Why haven't they bulked up?
