Is GGG really just waiting for Canelo to say yes to the trilogy instead of staying active? even though I thought he beat Canelo twice he looked knackered and just squeezed past Derevyanchenko, he's nearly 40 and even though he'll make money against Canelo at this point he can only make Canelo look good in a third fight. Why not prove he's still got it against someone like Andrade instead of sitting around waiting for a payday
Golovkin is done. He has no desire to make any good fights at this point. I'm not even talking about this guy anymore. He was a very, very good fighter in his prime. Unfortunately he was managed miserably and the lack of self-marketing was another thing that costed him a big career. But GGG is a nobody in 2021. I don't think we'll ever see him again unless Clen finally decides to make the Trilogy happen and i really think Clen will send him into retirement in a third fight. It's frustrating. But GGG should retire.
Because he's almost 40 and any desire he had of leaving a legacy went down the drain after the result of the first Canelo fight. Guys like Holyfield, Toney, Mosley etc. could afford fighting well beyond their prime because people had seen what they were capable of in their prime against solid opposition. This doesn't work out well for someone who had his first big fight at 35.
Canelo is just letting him deteriorate day by day, through age and inactivity, and then he might make it happen when he decides he wants it. From stuff I've seen, and read, Canelo thinks he beat GGG both times and has nothing left to prove...and he doesn't like Golovkin. Personally, there are more interesting fights out there for Canelo...plus, wouldn't it have to happen at 168, as Canelo isn't likely to make 160.
Canelo knows in his heart he has NEVER beaten GGG legitimately. He's just not man enough to admit it. Let him keep on with the Ped's up & down weights Cherry pickin' he'll regret it in later years. He had the chance to be great but instead took the easy path & joined the Sin city mafia.
He's been like that since the beginning, he still thinks all Mayweather did was hit his gloves. They'll never pick anyone who has a legitimate chance of beating him unless they look bad in a fight.
GGG's only motivated by money at this point. When he signed with DAZN and dumped Abel Sanchez that was the biggest clue of all....
Sanchez should have taken the flat fee and STFU. Even Roger only received flat fees from Floyd. Doubt any boxer cares about the respect he receives from a bunch of boxing obsessed casuals.
GGGs worst move was partnering up with Sanchez who pushed the 'Mexican style' approach that has taken years off GGGs boxing life. But yes, it appears he is done as he no longer fights but once a year. He's just making money now that is it.
Golovkin is not going to get any legacy fights. The third Canelo fight will not happen unless Golovkin is shot. Beating Andrade and Charlo will not change his standing in the grand scheme of things. In fact a certain section of fans will start calling them bums if Golovkin beats them.
Canelo wrecked GGG twice and you just aren't man enough to admit it. You like Abel Sanchez who thought he was a father figure to GGG who was kicked to the curb after he lost. GGG said No Abel you're not a father figure to me now get outta my gym. GGG was looking for someone to blame for the loss so he put that on Abel Sanchez, but GGG was the one who lost not Abel Sanchez who told him he was losing the rematch and GGG nodded that he knew he was losing. But you are GGG's biggest fan and would rather live in lalaland then admit Canelo beat your hero and wrecked your world lmao.
Canelo fans have awful memories. After the first match they tried to create the narrative that a draw was fair. Now they pretend Canelo "wrecked" Golovkin in both the matches and hope people just accept it. As for the second match, two judges had Clen winning by 2 points. Not a "wrecking" by any standard.
