Beautiful! They will pack out the Saitama Super Arena for this and it will unquestionably be one of the biggest fights and boxing events in Asian boxing history. I suspect the great Takeshi Kitano may be in attendance for this one too. Remember when they tried to lock me in an insane asylum for saying that The Japanese Terminator Murata would beat Jermallo and that with his two-fisted power and granite chin would walk him down and chop him up like sushi before taking him into deep waters and drowning him in the Sumida river in the late rounds? Well look at the problems that semi-retired dog trainer Montiel gave him last time out and how Jermallo has only managed to stop one of his last five opponents. You think he's stopping The Japanese Terminator or would be able to withstand his relentless two-fisted power punching assault for 12 rounds? It doesn't seen so far-fetched now does it but Serge The Soothsayer prophesied it many moons ago. Don't forget Murata only has one legitimate defeat and when the real version showed up for the rematches he went full Yakuza on their asses and both were blasted out. GGG might be a senior citizen and way past his best but this is a match up of power vs power and chin vs chin and the pair of them are sure to put on a show for the good people of Japan. WOW, so it will happen? Murata on a 2 year layoff? Don't like that, at all. I will take GGG late stoppage. Like, 10-12.
Will see. I'm not so sure, depends from shape old GGG now does have, he soon will be 40 y.o. Murata is younger than GGG and while pro skills wise and experience wise GGG is superior, Murata is dangerous for now old GGG. Murata is 2-0 ( 1 KO win, 1 win on points ) in am ranks vs guy who had beat Beterbiev in ams. He also had dropped some other not bad elite level ams even with these am gloves. Depends also from shape they will have. I think might be 60/40 fight and if old GGG is not in good shape, then even might turn till 50/50 fight.
Murata definitely has a shot here and he has much less wear and tear than GGG, but a 2 year layoff is worse than GGG's recent layoff. Should be a great scrap. I think if GGG is smart, uses his jab, he will break him down.
Murata is a legit top 5 middleweight, a Olympic Gold medalist, and a fighter that goes for the KO, and fighting his dream fight in front of his own Country Japan on a huge Holiday. This should be a very intriguing fight, Murata is no joke when he is on his game.
I'm not so sure because in december GGG will be 39 years 7 months old and his last fight was 18Dec 2020. This will mean 12 months after last fight. If GGG now was 25-34 y.o then 12 months without fight had lesser impact on him than today.
Murata seems very similar to the Charlos to me. Big and physically strong but decent skills but nothing too special.
