At the time of her departure from the UFC, she was No. 7 in the official UFC bantamweight rankings. Cat was nowhere near the level Nunes is at right now, the women`s game has moved on since 2013 when she scored the first TKO in female UFC history.

A matchup between Ronda Rousey and Zingano took place at UFC 184 for the women's bantamweight title. Zingano was quickly submitted in the fight's opening seconds.

Petr Yan looks to have the best hands in MMA followed by Shevchenko

Nunes is better than both of them.

Yan is superior to Nunes in every facet of the game. But when it comes to strictly boxing, they're not even in the same realm. Peter began boxing at a young age, developing under the tutelage of his older brother. His skills in the context of MMA striking are observable to those who merely have both eyes open.

Didn't Germaine de Randamie piece up Amanda Nunes on the feet in their rematch?

She turned Nunes into a wrestler but there's no shame in that. Shame Randamie was never willing to fight Cyborg as she had a good chance against her.

If Randamie had a decent ground game and TD defence she is a massive problem for Amanda, she buzzed Amanda a few times in the fight and forced her to wrestle. If Amanda couldn't get the take down she was gonna be in some trouble that fight.

    No, just no.
All she does is hold that lead hand out and sort of measure the distance. Then she explodes off of that.
And her technique is wild. She trows big looping shots. She is quite wild and there is little set up(in terms of boxing, that is).

But she is accurate, competent and powerful. Plus she is clearly a well rounded martial artist.
Heck of an eye for counters as well.

But her boxing fundamentals? Very little is there. She is not a boxer like say Stipe.

    What?
He has some basic fundamentals and clearly has used them well. Nunes in comparison has none.

Look at the punches here and tell me how Stipe does it better getting knocked out by a crappy hook by Ngannou, Stipe has no defensive prowess.

    What?
Stipe actually uses boxing fundamentals. Him running head first into a shot has nothing to do with his technique. It was tactics not technique that got him clipped.
Stipe is very basic and simple. He once trained extensively in boxing and now uses what he picked up in that short time.
He establishes his jab. He uses lateral movement and has actual footwork unlike many of his opponents. He parries and slips punches as well. Very rudimentary but effective.

The **** does Nunes do? She just slightly measures distance with her lead hand and then just explodes. She is not a boxer. She has good striking technique, but that is all. Her 1-2 is a throwaway jab and then she loads up on what is basically a haymaker. That is not boxing.
