Could The Best Of Lennox Beat The Best Of Joe Frazier?

Absolute rubbish Lewis is way over rated on here.He lost to two ordinary fighters and struggled against Mercer ,Bruno and Holyfield yet you think he can beat the great Joe Frazier who only lost to two of the best heavyweights of all time

 

Perhaps you missed the part where Foreman landed uppercuts at will.

Perhaps you missed McCall and Rathmans knock outs?.Foreman was an all time great those two were average thats the difference

I can't see any reason to pick Frazier, except for nostalgia, being dear to your era. Lewis was even bigger than Foreman, with an uppercut to boot. C'mon, now..

I think somebody would probably say, yeah, but Holyfield went 24 rounds with Lewis.
Look.. Holyfield > Frazier

 

What has that got to do with it? More importantly who is The worst fighter here Rahmam ,McCall or Frazier ? One of those is arguably top ten of all time my brain is hurting trying to figure that one out

Watch that fight in 71....... Lennox is great but...... watching Frazier is scary. Love the slips and movement. Left hook? Really tough match to judge. Good posting

 

Now you are being silly Lewis was prime when he lost twice Joe was out of the ring for over 5 years when he fought Cummings.If that is the best you can up with you are really struggling

 

Although both fighters have been kayoed for their respective titles, I am leaning towards a pre Fight Of The Century Smoking Joe Frazier to win this hypothetical encounter. Joe went 15 rounds with the taller but ring rusty Muhammad Ali on March 8 1971, Joe did endure quite a bit of punishment but won a unanimous decision, proving his stamina by flooring Ali in round 15. On Jan 22 1973 he was stopped by George Foreman by TKO 2. Lennox Lewis has beaten the likes of Tyson, Vitali Klitchko, Michael Grant, but was kayoed by the likes of Hassim Rahman and Oliver McCall early in those fights. Lewis did later avenge those defeats in regaining his titles but proves that if he is hit by a good punch, he can be stopped. Frazier was as relentless as a freight train running fiercely down the tracks before Foreman stopped him. Also Joe may have a difficult time reaching Lennox early, but those very wicked left hooks to the body take away stamina after awhile. Joe withstands some heavy leather by Lewis, to score a knockdown of Lennox in the 15th and final round to take a close majority decision.

 

At least Lewis knows what it means to avenge a loss lol.

 

So that makes him better? Baffling Frazier never lost to an average fighter therefore never got the opportunity Lewis had

 

It’s odd to claim that two fighters who beat champions other than Lewis were average.

 

They were certainly not of the calibre of Ali and Foreman. As i said previously your comment about Cummings takes away all your credibility
