Still not bad career in US even if he never had fights vs Clenelo Brand.

All these prize fighters sooner or later will be replaced with next idols for fans and later will be done.
It is normal cycle, Canelo too will be done, sooner or later, there will come next idol and everything will be the same.

These prizefighters changes like racing horses, managers, agents and promoters remain.
This is nothing wrong, this is business game.

If the fighter claims he'll fight anyone between 154 and 168, and the same fighter claims no one in his division wants to fight him, and the same fighter is calling out smaller fighters or old and retired fighters, then it's not a good look when he refuses to fight tough opponents who call him out in other divisions.

Golovkin always chose the safest route towards stardom. He's no different than any fighter waiting for the payday.

Looks that he is learning from Canelo and this is good sign.
Canelo had used for a title fight 38 y.o big name in Mosley coming out with 0-2-1 record in his last 3 fights for a title fight and bulked up welterweight Khan for MW title defense fight.
I agree everyone should learn from Canelo.

I lost respect for ggg when he opted for the money and fixed those fights with canelo. Not 1bodyshot thrown.

Ggg won the first fight easy without even trying. Canelo was gassed. Whats your reasoning behing him throwing zero bodyshots? Ill wait?

I think he would be more than just competitive, he would be at or near the top.

I wouldn't compare the two at all.. Jones is a legitimate ATG and the best fighter of the decade in the 90s. He has won belts 35 pounds north of his original weight class. GGGs biggest accomplishment is a draw vs a fighter he was favored to beat and a TKO over David Lemiuex.

Between Gennady and Roy, which one won Olympic gold?
In the 5 weight classes Jones fought in, in how many was he undisputed champion?
How many times in his pro career was Roy the underdog?
Between Roy and Golovkin, which one tested positive for steroids?
Between Gerald McClellan, Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank, Steve Collins, Dariusz M, Vassily Jirov and Lennox Lewis- which one gave Roy his toughest fight?
