A very soft opponent. Coffie-Washington would have been somewhat interesting, but this is a mismatch.
JD Chapman will fight Terrell Jamal Woods this Saturday. This will be Chapman's second fight since a 13 year (!) layoff. Woods is 24-49-9 but doesn't really get knocked out often. Chapman was near 300 lbs his first fight back. Woods is there to be an opponent but he's the type of opponent that can end a comeback attempt pretty quickly.
Harsh. Washington is at about the same level as Rice imo. At least Rice will gove Coffie some sort of challenge. Washington will fall over as soon as the going gets tough.
Rice is durable (Makhmudov fight for example) and has underrated skills. He gave Yoka and Ajagba tough fights.
Arslanbek Makhmudov will return in September. Sadly, he'll be avoided by the craven top 25 heavyweights.
