Which essentially will be the true reflection of it. Because it is objectively a pisspoor **** division.

When was the HW division really good? I think HW is a **** division most of the time.

Whyte's left hook on Chisora was an absolute peach, couldn't have landed it better really as it was right on the button. There was also the matter of a huge amount of accumulation of punches Chisora took from Whyte compared to what AJ did. Either way I think it's pretty clear who's got the better chin just from seeing how Chisora takes a lot of puniahment to be hurt eventually, whereas AJ can get caught with one good shot and he's almost done for.

You do have a good arguement but boxing in general was better in the early 80`s and there were a few good heavies around at that time.

People back then raised questions about Holmes opponents.

I can understand that, but Holmes sometimes looke amazing and maybe made those fighters look worse than they were, the Witherspoon win was good, but I feel Larry may have slowed down a litle despite looking insane v Spinks a few fights before meeting Spoon.

Are you sure that Usyk, even after the weight gain, is the fastest HW on earth?
Where is the evidence for this?

Also, please show me any evidence that Usyk sparred with "prime Klitchkos" & he "made them look like amateurs". Any proof whatsoever.

They way you put it, Usyk could have beaten any HW on earth: for many years.
Even when he was a CW.
Because "prime Klitchkos" was MANY years ago.
Are you sure your opinion does not reflect a large tribal, nationalistic bias?

I don't see the evidence for that.

Which was kinda the point of the question.

Care to back up that assertion?

Huh? This seems the opposite bias of the OP who seems to think that Usyk could have beaten any HW in the world for many years-since he allegedly made PRIME Klitchkos look like amateurs. And they were both prime *many* years ago.

Joshua has "never been wobbled before"?!?
Then what happened with Ruiz---> Do you not know he was visibly staggered & disoriented, knocked down, & later took a standing 8 count, & when the fight was stopped he was out of it, spit out his mouthpiece, was unresponsive to questions about wanting to continue, & suffered a TKO? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Joshua_vs._Andy_Ruiz_Jr.

Do you also not know how Klitchko came very close to stopping Joshua but was a bit too slow (& his Brother unwisely told him to pace himself) to put him away?

I am not saying this is untrue (that this training tends to help somewhat) but why need it be Olympic lifting other than say squats to increase the strength of the posterior chain & hips?

Also while these exercises may increase power, i really doubt that it (or plyometrics) will "massively' increase power.
So take Holyfield, who did tons of weight lifting & also PEDs but ha relatively small legs.
I have no idea if he did those specific types of training. Or if Tyson did. I will bet you anything Shavers & Foreman did not.

If any of them increased their power "massively", then even Evander would have been the hardest puncher ever.
And Tyson already was heavily muscled in his rear chain with great speed; due to other training & genetics.
If he did what you said his absolute power would have increased little to nothing.

Shavers & Foreman would be punching so hard that they broke bones many of the times they maded anywhere.
This is not at all plausible.

You clearly seem to be lacking the sarcasm detection gene.

Regarding making prime Klitschko's look like amateurs - well, Vitali was in his prime in around 2003/04 before the knee injury struck, and he was never the same after that in his comeback from 2008 onward. So what you're saying is that a 16 or 17 year old Oleksandr Usyk made him look like an amateur.

I'd suggest that such reports are a load of nonsense and fallacious at best.

No, if I could not detect sarcasm I would be unable to know that you were sarcastic about this being a genetic trait.
Or unable to appreciate the many times I like you have detected sarcasm.

You have not realized that many people DO make those outlandish claims: & from your posts one cannot discern that you did not mean it.
I was not saying that a su-er-young Usyk could have made him look like an amateur-but people who say what you had often MEAN such things. In part because those who are so biased are unable to realize the timeline involved.

So who is faster than him right now ?

You probably won't believe the word of the people who were in the camp yeah ? You probably need video footage at least.

It's okay if you don't believe, There is no need for that.

None of that matter in this fight, Usyk will have a gameplan that will beat AJ very comfortably and then people will believe.

Not really, I'm not Ukrainian, or Slav. I'm not judging people based on nationality or ethnicity, it's pure boxing skills and the way they move in and outside the ring. That is it.

Because squats don't target the posterior chain anywhere near as much as Olympic lifts do.

I didn't say it would massively increase power, I said it would increase your maximal power output, which implicitly means you'd see an increase in your power.

Size of legs doesn't mean anything. You can have massive legs and have half the strength of someone with average sized ones.

You've provided no evidence that any of the people you mentioned used Olympic lifts or targeted resistance based plyometrics. You've just latched on to the idea that big means strong and any form of weight lifting is effective for power output. You also seem to think in bizarre absolutes and hyperbole.

Olympics lifters are up there in terms of raw maximal power output, if you're doubting that you really have no idea what you're talking about. This is what I mean about most boxing training being in the dark ages.
