Who signs where? Caroline Dubois will obviously be Frank's spearhead for womens boxing, Do we see any non UK joining our promoters
I don't know about that, Frank has been clear he isn't a big fan of women's boxing since Nicola Adams retired, any promising female prospects would be daft to not sign with Eddie with the push he is giving women's boxing. I think the majority will sign with Eddie. AJ and Buatsi still have a lot to do with the GB squads and I'm sure they will champion Eddie to them. Wouldn't be surprised if Warren signed big Frazier Clarke though.
Frank in an interview last week basically said the young ones in the office are keen on women's boxing and they are talking to women to sign.
Not seen that one, he isn't saying he is keen though which is interesting still. Obviously if he wants to take a punt on women's boxing you would think Dubois is an obvious signing.
I heard around 18 months ago that McGrail, Pat and Luke Mc were due to sign with Matchroon after Tokyo 2020, obviously covid happened and it’s a long time since so that may have changed.
I know Ben Whittaker has signed a deal with principle (that's virtually done) with 258 Management since his Godfather and trainer Joby Clayton is part of Joshua's training camp and he's good friends with Joshua. I imagine like a precious poster said the McCormack twins will sign with Matchroom (more shows in Newcastle) and Peter McGrail will sign there as well. Galal Yafai will follow his older brothers' footsteps (Kal and Gamal) with signing with Hearn too. With Yafai and Whittaker with Matchroom maybe there will be more shows in Birmingham now. I don't know whether Cheavon Clarke will turn over but if he does he'll most likely sign with Frank Warren. Frazer Clarke I guess Hearn will sign. Lewis Richardson is from Birtley (same gym as the McCormacks) so I imagine Hearn will sign him. I don't know much about the women fighters and whether they want to turn professional, but I imagine Caroline Dubois will sign with Frank Warren, and that Artingstall and Lauren Price are most likely to sign with Hearn (I believe they are both Welsh, so helps when Joe Cordina headlines cards in Wales).
Whittaker has looked good and has a touch of the Ingle style, I just hope he has the chin to go with it. I think he could be polished and marketed quite well by Matchroom especially if he has some trash talk to sell his fights. McCormack is also very impressive and could go far in the pro's, he lacks some personality but his fights will sell themselves up in Newcastle and he is much more humble and likeable person than Whittaker. Frazer Clarke I'm not sure although there is definitely a role for him on the British heavyweight scene, I could see him mixing in with the second tier of fighters although at 29 he needs to do it now and not leave it late like Joyce did.
I can see Hearn signing Frazier Clarke.... he's been around Matchroom for years whilst working security with Clifton Mitchell.
lol bit harsh. But I do feel as though he's been lucky in these games. He had an easy side of the draw up to the semis, and got the round in close rounds in a couple of fights. Maybe it's the same as his mate AJ, where he's being manufactured and bought a gold medal
Wasserman Boxing (Sauerland) probably have a Sky sports deal on the way, and said they are gonna be looking to sign Olympians. I'd imagine it'll be between Hearn and Wasserman for the top talents , with Frank Warren getting the left overs/ last picks.
