Jonas Jonas the Namibian is actually a hell of a boxer when he ups the tempo. He's an African with legit international pedigree, a Commonwealth gold and silver and a participant in the last Olympics. Hopefully he can turn over and make it as a pro, Africa needs pro boxing stars.

Excellent work by Harry, countered beautifully and was very elusive. Hard to look good against an opponent like that. Jonas must be damn near 6ft all because Garside isn't short for the weight range.

    Bit of an upset

Men's middleweight looks a really strong division with Khyzhniak, the Filipino Macial, Amankul (Kaz, iirc) and the Russia/ROC rep Bakshi. Probably the best weight division imo.

The Russia men's team are going well. GBR has been quite strong and the US (Ragan, Davis) and Cuba (Iglesias, Lopez, La Cruz) have some class guys.

Petecio vs Irie in the women 57kg is a good gold medal bout.

Andy Cruz vs Keyshawn Davis will be the best fight of the whole tournament by far

I just went back to see why bruce carrington was not on the team. He beat duke ragen in the trials. Wtf kinda bull**** is this? I knew he was on a roll and i was tring to see who beat him in the trials. Nope, he beat duke. Since he wasnt top 20 they chose duke over him.
This is like some oscar de la hoya vs shane mosley bs.

The Americas Qualifier was cancelled so Ragans higher ranking earned him a spot despite Carrington beating him in the Trials.
