Not saying he'd win but I'd like to see Joyce take a run at Fury. For me it's the most intriguing Fury fight after Wilder and Joshua. Joe has a solid chin, good work rate, great stamina and goes to the body very well. I thought Wallin did very well going to Tyson's body early and had him in a wee bit of trouble in the 12th. The cut Fury suffered changed the fight. Had he stayed to the game plan instead of working the cut Otto may have had a KO in the 12th. Hopefully Joe gets a shot at one of the top fighters before he gets much older.
I've always said Usyk is all wrong for him. Fury has had a harder time with smaller movers and Southpaw Wallin gave him one of his toughest fights.
On paper Fury boxes Joyce's head off But if Fury fights the wrong fight and comes flat like he did against Wallin, all it would take is a pitch perfect gameplan and Joyce would be a tough night, I think he can be for anyone. Fury having sparred Joyce isn't going to get caught off guard though. He knows exactly how to win that fight...and knows looking for knockout is not how to fight Joyce. Winning rounds is. Joyce is probably one of the only guys Fury would be wary of using his new "offensive" mindset against because of his toughness and stamina. AJ, Wilder, Whyte don't have the same level of stamina or toughness.
Joyce is way too stiff to have any chance against Fury, Wallin is a different riddle altogether, especially with his southpaw stance. It would look like Fury vs. a 6'6 Chisora, only more lopsided than either fight.
Tyson Fury is the biggest threat to Tyson Fury. His lifestyle, his mental state, his physical condition.
Half the top 20. But that's why he doesn't fight them. 0 title defenses. No fight in 2 years. Only fought 4 of the current top 50. Had Fury been fighting top opponents, he'd have been floored and/or beaten numerous times by now. Imagine Ali skipping over Frazier, Norton, Foreman, Liston, Patterson and anyone else rated in the top 50? Instead he fought all of them numerous times.
He took the belts from Klitschko though, you have to give him that. It was a great feat. It was boring but he outboxed him
Yes, 5 years ago. And he was juiced up when he did it. Ans he has done little to nothing since. And now he is sitting on the belt, making up Covid excuses. He gets no passes from me and I am shocked that a lot of you still support this con man.
He beat Wilder in 2020 in devastating fashion, i don't support Fury but i will give him the credit he deserves. No doubt is he holding up the heavyweight division with the nonsense he pulled
