Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Pre fight breakdown

I feel Porter is out of his depth in this upcoming fight, but will it be as competitive as people think?

Porter throws his hooks closed and dips his head low while doing so, this causes a lot of his punches to fall short, it was glaringly obvious in the Ugas fight.

While Porter likes to make it rough, it hurts his game more than anything, he has the most success when he boxes .

 

I got Bud winning but this is a very important fight for him. A lot of journalist believes he’s far superior than the other WWs so what better opponent for him than the guy who fought all the other WWs. If he lose it shows he was always overrated, if he UD 7-5 him it shows they’re all on the same level until they fight each other(Spence, Thurman, Bud, Porter).

If he convincingly beat him 9-3/10-2 it shows he’s probably better than the other, but if he KOs Porter it shows that he’s on another level until proven otherwise in a fight against Spence.

I for one see a 7-5 decision for where both fighters will feel like they won just like every other Porter fight. He’ll make it rough and awkward and Bud will probably get cut.

 

I think the WBO are ordering Bud to fight Porter.

 

He will only prove that he's the best WW by beating the best, he's not the best until he beats Spence.

I like Porter, he is a cool dude and solid boxer, and I think he will be stopped this time by Crawford.

The tale of this fight will be how well Crawford does on the inside. No matter how he fights on the outside, it's going to turn into an inside mauling fight. Porter is gonna force it.

Brook: landed quick shots then tied him up ending the action.
Keith: countered, fired back faster and harder and won
Spence: was physically stronger had better leverage and won with accuracy.

We'll find out how strong Crawford is here, as well as how he handles a physically bigger mauler that has a decent skillset (unlike Horn).

 

Crawford cuts down from about 177, id be careful on "bigger". Porter has a solid musculature but he's not bigger by any means.

 

Porter isn't a very good mauler tbh, whenever he gets rough all he does is spoil his chances against good competition who can nullify him.

 

That’s true and I said that until the Spence fight happens this fight will give us a gage at where he is at WW. Most if not all of the prominent journalist seems to think he’s the best but give Spence the edge on resume. Me personally I feel he shouldn’t be rated as high at WW since he’s yet to fight a top 10 WW and that’s what makes this fight critical for his career.
