Curry was great up until he met an inspired, yet limited Honeyghan. The Cobra was up there with Hagler, Hearns Leonard etc. Things seemed to go downhill pretty quickly unfortunately. Curry v Leonard would have been a fantastic match-up l think. Leonard wins by UD, maybe late stoppage.
You've a good eye, Cobra! We've all watched a lot of boxing on this site, no doubt. and pondered aspects of it to a possibly unhealthy degree. I find Curry a bit of a chilly personality. Keep returning to his 4 standout fights, though. Just find his poise and his quickness mesmerising. People say he was not as fluid as SRL. Agreed - but so what? He was just as effective as SRL, which is surely the important thing. He was on McCrory and Jones and Starling (latter stages of the second fight) like a magnet.
Next time you besmirch this forum with your elementary grammar, kindly edit the offending error before us grammar nazis spot it. I can sleep now, at least, knowing that you know of your error. But it would have been preferable had I not been subjected to it in the first place. And, with that, I bid you goodnight. sir,
Not going to get into it too deep with those posters picking Leonard to beat Curry. But SRL quicker than Curry? Not sure about that at all.
i agree with your posts. I would not bet money on peak Curry beating peak SRL. I would, though, bet money on Curry being very competitive.
