Was that the best fight of the games? It was pretty good. I haven't seen everything but I saw that. Also, and again I'll add the caveat that I haven't seen everybody, but Roniel Iglesias was really slick and might deserve the Val Barker Award this year. Not sure who to give the KO of the games to.

They put too much pressure/hype around Ragan. From what I saw, he's a good athlete who lacks some higher skills. Albert Batman completely outclassed him, even though he didn't look quite as athletic as Ragan. I kind of liked what I saw from GBs Whitaker but then he got embarrassed at the finals too by Lopez. I think it's time we admitted that Cuba and Russia have better boxing programs.

Looking forward to the light weight semis and the gold medal match with souza vs khyzaniak. I think souza might suprise. Guy is slick and when he lands punches its easy to see. I heard khyzaniak has won 71 in a row. Im pulling for souza.

Best one I've seen but I haven't been watching them all or even most of them.

I only saw one of Iglesias' and that was the semi-final. But he looked really good in that one and it was against a quality Russian.

KO of the games, out of the bouts I saw that is, would be either Khataev or Marcial

Khyzhniak and Sousa have already fought before, in 2019 coincidentally 2 days before Khyzhniak fought Marcial for the first time. Khyzhniak won a unanimous decision.

Khyzhniak also beat the LHW silver medalist Benjamin Whittaker twice in 2017, that was up at LHW a weight where Khyzhniak was still very formidable but he lost a bunch of times up there and was not as effective as he is down at MW where he's undefeated at since moving down there. Both those fights against Whittaker were quality.

Based on excellent last 2 performances against two high quality operators he would have to be one of the favs.

But his first two performances might count against him, especially the debatable decision against the Japanese fight.

For mine Arlen Lopez took on as tough if not tougher opponents and was stylish all the way through.

Not sure how they going to look at it but you can't go past any of the Cuban finalists really. They have all looked excellent.

True but Khyzhniak is undefeated in over five years and Sousa has lost 4 times in the last 2 years alone, including twice this year. He was actually coming off back to back losses going into these games. Doesn't mean Khyzhniak beats him in the final of course but the form line favours the Ukrainian and his five year undefeated run commands respect.

Khyzhniak is a -455 favor over souza. souza been an underdog every fight but his first round.
