Who you think/know will turn pro after the Olympics?

Can be international, just any names that I should be keeping an eye on once it finishes and who you think they will sign with if they do then pro

 

The olympic boxing was pretty bad, I couldn`t care less who`s turning pro unless they get an exellent trainer, these fighters were raw as hell.

 

There isnt really a line between pro and amateur anymore.

Lots of the guys who are winning medals are already "pro".

Theres olympic styled boxing and traditional professional styled boxing.

I dont even think they call themselves amateur anymore.

 

The line has definitely blurred between amateur and pro with pro's fighting at the Olympics and the return to no head guards and more professional like scoring. Also with amateurs being able to compete in WSB which was designed to bridge the gap between amateur and pro.

Also for some countries with plenty of funding in the amateur game I'd say the quality of training is better for amateurs than many novice pros who won't have access to the same kind of support and facilities that well funded amateurs will.

 

No way are any of these olympians fighting like pros, there was no feinting and their punch technique was poor.

 

I'm not sure who the best pro will be.

Guys like Khyzhniak and Bachkov will be fun to watch but not sure if they have long careers with their styles.

Jalolov looking the goods but I'm a little sceptical of his chin and mental toughness.

IMO Kunkabayev will tear it up at cruiser. And I think his career as a super heavy has shown he will have at least moderate success if and when he moves up.

Nyika will do very well.

I've been pretty high on Whittaker for a while but I'm sort of not feeling like he will be all that successful as a pro.
I actually think Yafai might be one of the best suited to the pros amongst the Brits.

From the Americans, Keyshawn is exceptional but the others are a bit Christian Slaterish.
RTJ wont go all that far but he will bag some crowds and entertain them for a time.

Khataev better turn pro because he is made for that game.

Some of the ex pat Cubans will do well and I feel if they were willing to fight for another flag then they might be more open to fighting the paid ranks.
The Espanol Cubano who iced Levit I think will go especially well.

 

What? They're all elite, you just don't appreciate the skills on display.

 

No feinting? Poor punch technique? Gimme a break. There's been loads of feinting, in fact there's probably been twice as many feints as punches thrown. Not everyone throws for power in the ams too, so you're always going to see some arm punchers but there was quite a dearth of that in this edition thankfully.

 

Nowhere near world class, do you really think any of these fighters could win a world title in their first pro fight etc.?

I've been waiting for Khyzhniak to turn pro. Hope he does.

 

Even Loma didn't do that.

I liked a lot of what I saw, some good athleticism and interesting styles that I hope get brought to the pros to mix things up.

 

Eumir Marcial, the Filipino that lost to Khyzhniak would make a good pro too. I hope he does.

Also I hope Andy Cruz turns pro, dude is probably the best boxer in the tournament.
