At times it's like English is his second language lol. Still very amusing, though I imagine he'll wear thin after awhile. Not much substance.

I have no problem with English being his 2nd language (which I don't believe to be the case). Their are many posters here with a non-english primary language who's input I greatly enjoy reading (such as 70sfan, combates, etc). My problem with this guy is he's a ****ing idiot.

Everyone saying Tyson was afraid to fight Foreman over a fictitious he said/she said telephone game either has an agenda or is still misinformed. This **** has been debunked 1000 times over and really didn't need to be debunked in the first place. But the Tyson haters hold on to anything that could diminish his status, even if a biased article, like Lotierzo's, has half a leg to stand on.

People believing in stories like that is why America is so ****ed up. They're too lazy to do any research on their own and finding the first googled article to pop up is enough in their mind as proof. We've been conditioned from a young age to memorize information given to us and not to think for ourselves, or even HOW to think. Period.

Cus said this, Lotierzo said that, Don King's matchmaker said this, Foreman's brother said that...people hang their hat on second and third handed stories that don't even seem plausible to begin with. But yet you all turn a cheek when there's plenty of documented proof Foreman was presented with a contract on 4 separate occasions to face Tyson?!

    Those aren't facts.

Foreman is counting his lucky stars that fate decided to place Tyson out of a boxing ring for 3 years.

Serb at least had some sort of structure to his posts and you knew what his overall point was.

This guy just rambles on and on with no commas or periods and I honestly have no idea what he's saying. He's like a drunk schizophrenic homeless man.

Yeah, man, it's hard to fathom what Ruddock-era Tyson would have done to old George. Alex Stewart turned Foreman's face into a grotesque mask, and I have no doubt Tyson would have done way worse damage, even to the point where Big George hits the canvas.

Completely agree but of course someone will say triangle theories don't work in boxing. Stewart brutalizing Foreman isn't a theory as it actually happened. Same with Tyson KOing Stewart in one round. And then they'll say Stewart ran but somehow he was able to land flush shots while standing in the pocket throughout the fight.

    It just never ends.

nobody ever thinks it was something with both teams why is it always put on mike for not fighting George maybe mike didnt see the benefit beating up a old man or maybe not worth the cash never those points said

why is George not fighting names like razor or Lennox never said was he scared of them just cause he didnt fight no cause boxing doesn't work that way its other reasons

TO this day Mike is given grief and barely any props for absolutely destroying a 38 year old Larry Holmes. Doing something similar to 42 year old George Foreman could've possibly damaged him in the grand scheme of things.

And yet Holyfield doesn't get criticized (he did at the time) for facing Foreman and an even older Holmes within a year of each other. Holy did get criticized for going the distance both times, however. But it's wiped clean because he did face just about everyone in the division who mattered.

After the Spinks blowout, Cayton had a World Tour planned for Mike. I believe it went something like this: fight Frank Bruno in England, Adilson Rodrigues in Brazil, a big money SuperFight with Holyfield in Las Vegas, Francesco Damiani in Italy, Razor Ruddock in Canada and a big money bout with George Foreman in China (I believe).

I guess the fact that Holmes was coming off an 18 month layoff and had just become a grandfather enters into it.

Still it should be mentioned that Larry NEVER got stopped like that before or since. He didn't even get knocked down once in his comeback.

What Mike did was very impressive...it's just that Mike himself admitted he didn't fight the Legendary Larry Holmes, and that that guy would have beat him.

But maybe he was just being generous. I agree, however. Holmes would have beat him worse than Buster Douglas would have dreamed.

You're confusing me with someone else. I'm a Tyson fan. I'm here to defend his honor, oh King Michael of the Catskills.

Holmes is my second favorite heavyweight after Tyson. I'll go on record stating Holmes NEVER beats Tyson. In their primes, in their dreams or in some astral plane outside of this world...Mike Tyson was always meant to defeat Larry Holmes.
