A prime Don Curry would have boxed that rat Leonards ears off him & Ray knew it. Don was going to get in ring after the Leonard/Camacho fight & embarrass him into fighting him but when he saw the blatant "Pick up my check" half effort Don said " I wont embarrass myself by going after such pathetic performance

It wouldn't be a mismatch. Curry has skills. Think Leonard would win but it wouldn't be a blowout.

Ask Leonard about Quincy Taylor !! Quincy hit Leonard when sparring & ko'd him but he didnt hit the floor.
Leonard refused to ever spar Quincy again though to give him a little credit he admitted he was KO'd. He didnt know where he was

Excellent post. At his best Curry was a wonder to behold. To my eye he is just as fast as SRL.

I'm not sure Leonard had the superior chin

Curry's chin was solid but Honeyghan ruined him and he was never the same

Curry's chin was never in the class of Leonard's Red. He was knocked down and quite hurt by Jun Sok Hwang and there was sometimes a slight question mark over his chin. I think it was a solid chin as wins over the likes of Starling and Jones show but it wasn't as good as Leonard's. Noway Jose.

Sorry got no respect at all for that snake in the grass Leonard. he was supposedly retired due to a detached retina. He was hired by Muhammed to be Don's advisor.
Don wanted to move up & challenge Hagler. They both told him to wait let Hagler age. next thing you know Dave Gormans gym went ape **** WHEN Muhammad announced Leonard was coming back to fight Hagler himself. Leonard was suddenly missing he'd stabbed Don in the back & got out of DODGE. like a rat.
That's why I named him SACCHARIN RAY, a very poor imitation of the real sugar

i must disagree. Leonard was downed numerous times and that includes clubfighters so I dont understand why you would try to raise the class of Leonard's chin into something it wasnt, when the record shows otherwise

and as another poster mentioned, Leonard was stopped by his sparring partner in preparation for Hagler. an over the hill Hagler at that which really makes me wonder; why didnt that fight comes off sooner?

learn to face facts and you wont be forced to make such statements in the future

That is a really good name for him!

Saccharin Ray Leonard. The name really fits!

Not the real thing, but an impersonation, counterfeit, imitator

similar to BeatleMania or Elvis impersonators

how come you are the only person on this forum who makes this claim???

ON top of that, why should a claim like this bother anyone? It's not as though you are wounding me or tormenting me. I just wonder why you continue pursuing something that is not a benefit to you

Neither are you able to directly answer the questions posed which testifies to your dishonesty.
