It's not a pointless post when you are stating a fact everyone reading the thread already knows!? I know it's early mate but wake up!

 

Think it was a case of Galahad doing better than everyone thought so people look to give him rounds, similar to Smith v Ryder.

I had it 115-113 Warrington.

 

I had Warrington winning that night and didn’t think the cards were bad - I had it a round closer than two of the judges (I had it 7-5) but the close split decision was reflective of what took place. Those who try and make out that Galahad walked it are talking nonsense.

I do think it’s a different fight now, and boxing can often be a confidence game. Certainly Josh’s is at an all-time low and Barry’s is at an all time high. Even watching Josh on punditry on Saturday, he was saying things like he “hopes” he beats Lara, whereas Barry was saying he “WILL” unify the division. Little nuances like that give an indication of where they are at. Josh knows he isn’t unbeatable anymore, and it’s damaged his persona. Barry still has the air of arrogance and supreme confidence about him as he felt he beat Warrington and has gone on and got better and better.

 

It will be very interesting to see how Warrington approaches the rematch. He is a high intensity high output fighter bit as you say he has lost that aura. Will he be confident trading, not just with Lara but other opponents? Can't help but think he is going to get caught between 2 styles.

 

I cannot stand Kid Galahad but;

Warrington ducked the rematch, vacated his belt

Got spangled by some Mexican lad no one had ever heard of

Now has 1 fight to save his career.

Whether KG won the first fight is irrelevant, he clearly did enough that Warrington didn't fancy it again.

 

Didn't duck the rematch...He chose a different route which was more enticing. Fight against a kid who just made u look terrible, not because he (kid) had a high skill ceiling but because half way through the bout ran out of ideas and chose to hold and make the fight unentertaining. To someone who likes to entertain dancing with a fighter who consistently holds cos he doesn't want to engage is a big turn off.
Don't forget, hes trying to sell himself to a tv audience.
Fight for ibf against the above. Or go for wba regular (Not a real world title) and the ring magazine belt ( a belt that is held in higher regard than the ibf.

Yes he did.

In a way yes, but another loss isnt necessarily the end of his career. But a massive massive nosedive yes.

Would understand if he dropped the belt for a high profile fight up in weight. But they picked someone they thought would be a can, just to move onto the next one. And got it badly wrong imo
