You can defo argue that, but seeing Pac right now. MAN!
Pac is without a doubt in the top 3 of current active WW boxers.

 

Spence should get credit but lol at how people gloss over this, whilst simultaneously claiming that Thurman was out for 2 years to discredit Pac.

I mean firstly, thurman wasn’t out for 2 years. He was out for 2 years for the Lopez fight, Lopez was the tuneup, he was tuned for Pac, he was out for 4-6 months for Pac?

Meanwhile, forgetting pacs age for a moment, he’s literally been out for 2 years and Spence is literally his tuneup. And people forget it like it’s nothing.

Anyone else being out for 2 years, prime or not, fighting Pac as a tuneup or without a tuneup would bring out all kinds of excuses. Double standard galore.

 

I hear you brother. I have the same feelings every time I go back and watch the Pac/Morales fights. It really sucks when two of your favorites duke it out.

Spence is slow for Pac, but if he is as relentless and immune to pain as Margarito, he will beat Pac. Pac stamina is not the same, but if he dictates the pace i see him outlanding Spence. Dont forget he is 42 yo and judges might be on the Spence's side, because he is younger.

 

If Spence can’t handle the punches as well as Margo or Rios did, he’s in trouble.

He has a lot of size on Pac so he better be able to handle it.

 

Spence is very stiff and robotic. He’s very effective and throw punches with mean intentions, but very predictable and stiff nonetheless. I see Spence having success with some blue collar type of approach where he eats a lot of punches just so he can dig to the body to slow down or break Pacquiao down. It will be a very close fight IMO.

 

Spence has never fought anyone with real hand or foot speed, nevermind elite speed. He's only fought rigid guys where he's been able to pressure and walk down.

For however long Pac's gas tank lasts, he's going to light Spence up and it's gonna be sensational.

 

Haters also conveniently forget that Porter fought Thurman who was out of the ring longer and was badly hurt and almost taken out by Collazo in the fight before.

You are correct, but I still wouldn't consider Porter to have fast feet. He's very tenacious, rough, bores into opponents, and can close the distance effectively. His relentlessness and pressure makes him look fast.
