    "We've comeback from worse"

    I'd disagree

The eye is a delicate thing & once it gets damaged that's normally it. it doesn't regenerate itself. You can't just heal and expect it to handle pressure from punches as it did before.

Given boxing at the highest level is extremely mental knowing you might have a weakness there and could go blind is just something you cannot ever think about. It makes you weaker.

Left eye, southpaw. He'll be alright. Should sack off the rest of the year. Career on the rocks moment though.

It's the one injury that goes under the radar in boxing and when it rears its head it's normally a big problem.

This is terrible for the sport. If i was pac, id postpone the whole thing, and wait for spence to heal up.

I've never heard of a fighter faking a retinal tear. It's a serious injury that needs prompt treatment. You must lack empathy and class to assume he's ducking. His health is more important than your entertainment.

Based exactly on what? Having 8 losses on his record and being knocked out 3 times?

Utter shite. Haven’t looked forward to a fight like this since Pac-Floyd.

Pac destroys Ugas. Chuck in Shawn Porter instead. Josh Taylor. Crawford. Heck Mikey Garcia would be better. All are much better legacy fights.

Normally I give fighters the benefit of the doubt, but with less than 2 weeks something smells fishy

Would they be covering up a failed drug test?

Good grief.... there's virtually NO WAY this injury was faked. Cut that crap some of you....

Anger and frustration aside, I hope Spence makes a quick recovery. No matter what you guys think an eye injury is still serious, especially in a sport like boxing. Wishing him a speedy recovery and hopefully be back in the ring soon. It'll be a shame if his career gets cut short because of something like this.

One does have to imagine what would have happened if the doctors didn't catch that and how much it could have gotten worse had he been in the ring with Pac. Could have potentially cause some career ending damage.

I hope Spence makes a speedy recovery whether his injury is indeed real.

Pacquiao has the chance break his own record of being the oldest welterweight champion at 42 years old.

Usually they will spar hard up to last week and ease off so they would have been tying up loose ends but it’s not the first it’s happened in last sparring sessions.

Agreed Porter should of jumped on this if offered. No idea what his weight is at right now though.

They should just scrap the damn fight.

Why put Pac at risk in a matchup like this against Ugas thats practically a lose lose situation.

Just scrap it and wait for another superfight to emerge.
