Car accident is irrelevant. Spence looked aces against Danny. Beat Danny up like no other. Workrate, power, stamina, punch resistance — all there.

 

Anyone who knows boxing knows that Pac is arguably the most dangerous early round fighter in boxing history. He will always give you hell early due to his awkward style speed and power. I thought Spence would look to box Pac early showing him respect then start walking him down trying to target the body in the mid rounds before turning it up. I thought Spence would win a decision or possibly stop Pac late. The only way I saw Pac beating Spence was to hurt badly and getting him outta there early.

 

None of those guys are currently in training camp; the fight is 11 days away.

Or he could have received damage in that fight that showed up later. Danny can punch arguably the biggest puncher at 147.

 

I agree. I gave 6 rounds for Pac to get Spence out of there or to hurt Spence enough to take the fight out of him the rest of the way. After round 6, the most likely outcome would have been Spence close decision or TKO.

I'm not trying to diss Spence. But it feels very strongly like he had a poor camp and wasn't ready. No content coming from Spence or Spence's team whatsoever. He got the fight he supposedly wanted, yet was basically quiet on social media instead of hyping it up big time. There was nothing. Zero. Zilch. Except the sparring footage that was leaked.

Happy to eat my words if he proves that he does have an eye injury, but the timing is very suspect.

They should be in shape year round. They’re full time boxers, not full time senators.

 

I'm getting the vibe that you sound really relieved and it's the "I wasn't scared at all" kinda boast .

Pacman is still the man and will be the man but let's not disrespect Spence like this, man had a car accident before and eating too many shots on the temple in sparring might've caused the injury.
