It’s a shame but perhaps this is a better way for Pacquiao to go out because I personally felt Spence was going to beat him up bad and it was not going to be pretty at all. In fact the vision I saw was him being put to sleep like Marquez did to him. Yes I know Pacquiao was very motivated and that was part of the problem that he would walk into something. This way if he loses to Ugas he might walk into the sunset with dignity.

 

I dont like Spence what's so ever but its a pity he may have lost the biggest pay he ever got offered with this injury

I sincerely hope he recovers soon but dont go back for Pac

Personally I think Casimero catches aids on the ringwalk and we get Pac-Khan finally.

It took JMM 4 fights to put Pac to sleep with some luck and some help from memo. Every fighter since then tried the same **** and lolz.

pac would have given Spence a hell of a fight. I think he beat Spence up early rounds before getting out worked late and potentially getting stopped from the pressure ala Margo-cotto. Pac don’t have the stamina to keep up.

 

Are folks REALLY suggesting here that an athlete who fought his way back from a near-fatal car wreck, is now faking an eye injury to pass up on easily his biggest payday?

I hope Spence makes a full recovery, although a torn retina is a mighty difficult thing to come back from based on how the eye heals (or doesn't).

 

Pac is a different animal for this fight. This is the first fight ever where the majority of the people felt like he was going to get blown out and seriously hurt.

I believe Pac was training for survival. I think he approached this fight like his life was on the line.

 

Man, this sucks. I would honestly wish Spence WAS faking it, because eye injuries are no joke. Forget career-altering, that's some life-changing stuff. But no way he'd do that in what would be the biggest fight/payday of his career, the exclamation point on his time as a welterweight. Ugas at least is a decent replacement and gives Manny a chance to get back the WBA belt that he never should have lost...except the WBA is trash and more and more people are aware of it.

This was the highlight fight of the year for me. The last dance of an old legend and the ascent of a new star, or another one biting the dust and the legend growing? Now...Pac's going to beat up Ugas.

I believe the last time Pac took a fight this seriously was Pac-ODLH. This fight reeked of the same type of concerns.

 

No it’s not a lose lose as he gets his guaranteed purse plus more cash and still the same share of PPV as Ugas will get more money than for his undercard fight but not as much as Spence. Also WBA Super title is on the line.
