Agreed. Retina tear takes quite a while to heal fully after surgery, and even after it has you have to be careful. His vision in that eye might also be myopic.

I know, I have had a mild tear. Not as bad as a detachment which will happen if you don't have surgery very soon after a tear.

I think Oscar Rivas may have had a retinal tear at one stage.

I try my best to stay away from you Pac and Floyd stans but I gotta pull you up on this one. No one sane on this planet thinks that Marquez only beat Pac once. He was robbed in the 3rd fight. Hell, most people will say he should have won one of the first 2. I love Pacquiao but you cannot argue that he got the better of Marquez. Even if you think pac got the first 2, Marquez should have had a UD in the 3rd and then provided the most definitive conclusion to their rivalry in the 4th fight. It seems a bit odd for you to be calling out dodgy bull**** from Floyd's side (most of which I imagine is true) and then to talk like Pacquiao wasn't gifted a win in that 3rd Marquez fight.

If you did a poll here, it would also be right down the middle. Those were classic cases of a close fight which went to Pac, mostly due to the knockdowns. None of them were robberies.

And there’s nothing definitive about the 4th fight. Pac was winning and had JMM nearly out. Pac got caught. It doesn’t erase their previous wars and suddenly make JMM the better fighter. A 5th fight may be different. That’s like saying Rahman got the better of Lewis and Ruiz over joshua. Only difference is these events happened in 4th fight vs 1st.

 

Marquez beat Pac convincingly and that's all that needs to be said about that. You gotta give credit where credit is due.

It's crazy that these new school boxers are having a hard time with an old Pacquiao. Morales and Marquez are two legends that proved their caliber as true greats of the sport of boxing.

 

He was sparring with Fury and caught covid.

Well, this ****ing sucks.

They brought in new sparring partners for Pac. Hopefully Pac doesn't get worn out or injured. No one spars during fight week. It's all about staying loose and relaxing and doing publicity.

I sincerely doubt that anybody outside of Pacquiao die hard believe that he won ALL 3 of their first fights. And marquez had the clearest win out of all of their fights when he knocked pac man out. And of course most people had pac man beating horn, you would need to be blind to have it otherwise lol Pacquiao is an all time great no doubt, but it annoys me that some people like to act like he got the better of marquez. You are right though, I went hyperbole mode with the term robbery. But if Pacquiao wasnt the favourite it's not hard to imagine him not getting the nod in all of those first 3 fights, and then the 4th fight happened....so I don't get how people can think that he proved himself better than Marquez?

 

Spence looked to already have a lazy eye, which usually comes along with nerve weakness/damage & poor vision in that eye (can speak from personal knowledge, and dealing with a lazy eye myself and learning from eye doctors & eye surgeons about this.) If it's the same eye, he's screwed.
