For me its Conor Benn, Anthony Yarde and Joshua Buatsi. I dont see any of these guys becoming world champion.

Similar for me. Conor Benn, Anthony Yarde and Daniel Dubois.

Joe Cordina and Jack Catterall also overrated for me.

Well Yarde has been proven to be the biggest hype job after his loss to Athur.

Dubois being made big favourite against just shows how overhyped he was (although I do belive he will eventually be a world level HW)

I wouldn't say conor Benn as a lot people said he wouldnt even make Eniglsh title standard and he surpassed many expectations already and it is clear to how much he has improved.

Buatsi - well we will see tonight if he is legit as it's first proper test against a good opponent. Make or break for Buasti tonight.

Yarde at least had balls to fight vs uncle Kovalev in Russia.
Catterall looks that was mando for JT and he allowed JT do do unification fight instead of fighting vs him so he deserves fight vs JT for sure, 0 doubts here.

There's barely any talent to speak of to even BE a hype job.

When Benn is probably the best prospect then you know the standard is poor.

Kid Galahad - paper champ in the weakest division for a vacant title against domestic level Jazza. Despite being a pro for over a decade but has a padded recotd, has beaten NO ONE of note. The one time he stepped up he lost easily and stunk the place out not evem trying to win. Despite the recent praise for him, hes still a hypejob to me.

Joe Cordina - getting hype like hes the new Calzaghe haha. He's closer to Tom Stalker. Feather fisted, boring to watch. Doesn't look like he'll do anything near world level to me, I don't rate him at all.

Florian Marku - don't know whether he's eligible for a british title. But that's his maximum ceiling. Flawed limited fighter. Doesn't really deserve to be with a top promoter on TV, he's just there cause of his big fanbase

Mentions : Zelfa Barrett, Anthony Fowler, Josh Kelly, David Adeleye, Kash Farooq, Michael Mckinson

Would have added Buatsi but we'll see tonight how good he is tonight.

The welterweight scene in the UK is just mediocre hype jobs - Kelly, Benn, Marku, Mckinson.

His balls were strung along by considerable money, so that doesn't really count. Pretty much anybody would have taken that against old Kovalev for that sort of money, especially when you know that this will be your biggest payday by some distance and you have only beaten questionable opposition to get there.

What expectations has Benn passed? He hasn’t even fought for a British title.

Hype jobs are only hype jobs if you buy in to the hype. If you want to fall for Eddie Hearn or Frank Warren sale pitches about someone when they clearly don’t pass the eye test then more fool you. And yes of course casuals fall for this.

Anthony Yarde deserves respect, he manoeuvred his way up the rankings and tried for a world title.

Conor Benn is still very young and green. He’s made massive improvements, will it be enough to take him to world level, probably not but fair play to him on his improvements so far.

Daniel Dubois, again very young. Frank was desperate for his own “Anthony Joshua” and pushed and pushed him. He’s lost to a top fighter in Joe Joyce. He will come again.

    So the thread is harsh.

    David Haye version 17.

I liked him up to version 14 but he was overrated after that.
