Maybe Walcott turns the trick at the very end. But I don't see any of them knocking him off before he gets there. Certainly not Conn or Pastor.

Conn isn't giving up 150 pounds and 13 inches in height to Valuev and winning. I think that is just beyond reason. He only weighed 174 when he fought Louis. He's going to knock off a seven-footer who weighs 328 and is shoving him around? (LOL)

No. No. No. That wouldn't have been fair to Conn at all.

Because Valuev is too big, right? Except that Valuev is too big for anyone, yet he wasn't competing at the highest level. He was never elite fighter despite his massive size. In fact, his size made him worse fighter than he would be with 3-4 inches and 50 lbs less. Yet you fail to understand that, because size is always advantage to you.

I wonder why we don't have 7 footers all over the HW division at this point.

Valuev wouldn't beat Schmeling, no way...
Chagaev beat him cleanly and he was giving up 11 inches and 90 lbs, yet it wasn't some kind of miracle win.

I have provided you with my answer, but let me spell it out to you.

I think it unlikely that he gets past Barddock and Farr back to back.

Realistically, that is where it probably ends.

So if someone asks, how would Usyk (for example) do against Marciano's title opponents, and you believe he would lose to Walcott... then the question ends right there? Then we can't discuss how he would do against Charles, LaStarza, Don and Moore?

He'd definitely beat Schmeling in the Louis title challenges list.

He never beat anyone even close to Schmeling class.

Conn would have been hit less by Valuev tan he was by Louis because Valuev had far slower hands than Louis or Conn.

    Effectively yes.

At that point he is not the champion, so the other fights presumably never happen.

Someone needs to tell this dude, the Sugar Valuev stuff we all used to do 10 years ago was sarcasm. I can't do anything but laugh at this guy's posts, especially with all the hyperbolic sarcasm..he really thinks he knows something here.

I don't agree with you much but you're right here. Conn wouldn't dent Valuev, but sweet Sugar wouldn't be able to land a glove on him of consequence. This isn't Lewis or Wlad vs Conn....they'd demolish him. Valuev vs Conn would be a bigger circus act than Haye vs Valuev.

I believe Chag is even smaller than his listings. And he was a soft dude, that could easily be 180ish if lean..but I know how this board struggles to comprehend theoretical weights.

At any rate, I love how he keeps referring to Valuev as a HW Champion...as if his dubious hometown booed victory over a paper champ John Ruiz means anything.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if Valuev did well in that era. He is one of those fighters that got results despite himself. Just his size gives almost anyone problems and although he wasn't that fast, he seemed to be technically sound. Also that thick skull of his was great at absorbing punches, I don't think he was ever floored, was he? He had a way of winning ugly, but winning none the less.

He was never floored because he only fought one puncher(a former cruiser), who had him on ***** street in the last round.

When your other major opponents were John Ruiz, Chag, Donald, 2 Gunz, and an ancient Evander, it's easy to see why he was never floored.

I don't see him keeping that streak against Simon x2, Buddy x2, Walcott x2, and Nova.

That's it. He'd win ugly but he'd get a good few name wins.
