Arguello landed more lead shots than Floyd ever did, and Floyd would have ducked a prime Pryor.

All he ever does is neutralise offence and counter, he`s crap at landing lead shots.

In Rigo's fights you need to count miles, not punches

Is it good or bad that I read this post and worked out who typed it up before i saw the username?

Sounds like a good fight to miss.

Objectively factoring in all scores and synopsis I've seen, a Draw and "move on" would have been most appropriate.

I'm probably the biggest Rigo fan in here but that was awful. Yes he got jobbed on the scorecards. Hard to complain though when he absolutely refused to uncork quality power shots. I counted maybe four or five solid looking left hands all night. It was as if he thought he would immediately die if he threw with conviction. I had never seen pity pat uppercuts to the body in a boxing match until last night. His jab was fairly pity pat as well. It was like he didn't want to hurt Casimero or something. He definitely outlanded Casimero but hard for the judges to see it if you are just touching a guy and running with no hard counters.

Casimero's best punches of the fight were illegal blows to a down opponent. Back of the head shot and two to the face had Rigo hurt. Not sure how the ref didn't deduct a point for that.

Inoue would KO Rigo and Casimero on the same night.

I wasn't able to watch the fight live and just got through watching. I have it 114-114. But i'm glad Casimero got the nod so we don't have to endure a rematch. Hopefully that's the last we see of Rigondeaux in a significant fight, he'll be avoided like the plague after that and rightly so.

I scored it 8-4 for Casa. To me, if you're going to be that negative, in order to win the round you have to clearly outland your opponent or hurt him. To the extent Rigo did the slightly better work in some of the rounds -- which he definitely did -- it wasn't enough to offset his being so negative. So I had no trouble scoring the outcome, albeit there were a few close rounds even under my own scoring criteria. I just am not inclined to reward a guy for running.

Having said that, Casa was not impressive at all. Rigo actually could have won (at least officially) without too much trouble had he simply taken advantage of the very clear opportunities Casa presented to him. Casa regularly lunged and missed wildly with left hooks, getting off-balance and leaving himself wide open for counters. He even sent himself partially through the ropes on a few occasions. And yet, Rigo just kept going backward. It was a disdainful and contemptuous performance by Rigo and I'm glad he lost.

You remember the episode of the Simpsons when the real Principal Skinner comes back.
But the town decide the bring back the original and the Judge makes it law to never speak of it again.

I think I'm going to apply that scenario to this decision and get on with my life.

    I agree.

There's a fine line between hit and not hit get to hit and run for 12 rounds. I see boxers moving but hit "pap, pap, pap" and then move. This guy Rungundeaux was like "bing" one shot then he is off on his bike for not a second but for the entire round doing laps around the ring ffs. Come on that's crossing the line the ref should have given him a warning. That's the problem the ref allows it to go on and on.

He was an embarrassment to the Cuban boxing. He literally was doing laps around the ring. He must be that scared of the pinoy powa!

When we as fans are subjected to a 12 rounds fight with an average of 3 to 4 landed punches per round and NOT too many more thrown it’s horrible.

This fight was exactly what I anticipated, BORING AF, and yet some were calling for beat downs and KOs:confused::dunno

Rig beat Rig in that fight just on the items you outlined above IMO and I hope he never returns :nonono
