And why does Lewis get called out for no rematch when Vitali never gets called out for no Byrd rematch.

Lewis chose to retire. . Vitali doesn't have an excuse. He just didn't want part of Byrds awkward style a second time.

Well based on the few responses to the actual question I’ll assume his resume is too thin to be addressed

I thought you were just being a weirdo, but apparently you really don't know anything about what went on. (LOL)

No, Vitali didn't pick Byrd PRIOR.

Vitali was scheduled to fight Razor Ruddock. Ruddock pulled out with an injury with a week to go before the fight. HBO was televising. They had approval on the opponent. Vitali's team looked at everyone preparing for a fight. Byrd was scheduled to fight the undefeated Olympian Lawrence Clay-Bey on ESPN, but Clay-Bey suffered RETINAL TEARS and had to opt out, and since he was finished camp himself, Byrd took the shot because, at the time, he was sort of on a downward march and was only making $10,000 for the Clay-Bey fight.

HBO approved Byrd, since they showcased him on their network before.

    So Byrd was signed.

    That's it.

Then the fight took place. And Vitali dominated Byrd the whole evening until he suffered a should injury and quit, to everyone's total shock.

Then Vitali had surgery and Wlad fought Byrd. And HBO didn't even televise it, because they expected a hopeless mismatch (given Byrd's fight with Vitali). And it was. Wlad won easily - basically a 12-round shutout (which Vitali was doing, as well, until injured).

If Vitali Dominated Byrd the whole evening , how come Byrd was never dropped , hurt or even stunned at any point during the fight?
    Explain that to me?
Also Wlad has nothing to do with this. Vitali doesn't get credit for Wlads victories.. Don't be a weirdo.

I do give Byrd credit for taking the fight. You saying Byrd was OUTBOXING Vitali is ludicrous, though.

It was a mismatch in Vitali's favor, until he quit. (That's on him.)

Fight City don't agree with that claim.

Byrd was outpunched, outboxed and lost eight of the nine rounds completed rounds.

    There's your explanation.

The guy dominating the fight suffered a shoulder injury and quit. That's why the fight is memorable. Because he was dominating and couldn't lose on the cards ... and he quit anyway.

That's the only reason why the fight is remembered.

Because HE WAS WINNING SO EASILY that HE COULDN'T LOSE on the cards ... before he quit.

Maybe you should actually watch the fight. This isn't brain surgery. It's all on the screen.
