Who has Ortiz beat that gives you any indication that he's ready for Crawford? I'll answer that for you, no one!

I know when you keep you're head in one spot and use that high guard ear muff defense Crawford will figure you out early.

I don't think Ortiz wins. But I do think Ortiz could KO Crawford. Crawford gets touched up a lot in the early rounds. He was getting torched by EK (should have been a KD) and tagged by Shell Broken. If Ortiz's power is real (and it looks to be), then Crawford can lose.

Ortiz has a puncher's chance in the fight but then again so did EK. I'll put my money on the better and more proven fighter here in Crawford. Like I have said earlier if Ortiz gets hurt badly like he did against EK he will get stopped by Crawford.

Agreed. Crawford is a great finisher. Only question is if Ortiz hits hard enough to hurt and finish Crawford.

Ortiz got badly rocked in his last fight, and Crawford is faster and hits pretty hard.

Crawford counters Ortiz all night long and stops him.

So the guy who “badly rocked” VO didn’t actually knock down Crawford? I mean, is getting knocked down and receiving a count better than taking flush shots and standing up?

against kavs, ortiz connected 38% of 389 total punches to crawfords 33% of 382 total.
against ortiz, kavs connected 19% of a total 391 thrown. against crawford he connected 30% out of 391. oddly, he threw the same amount of punches in both fights but connected a third more punches on crawford.

obviously the numbers indicate that against the same opponent, vergil lands more punches and gets hit less. that tells me the whole story right there. bud fought this guy at his peak, fully developed and having reached gis ceiling already. ortiz fought this guy as a learning fight, and did better than crawford. and he will be better next time he steps in the ring. and bud wont. bud better start working on his retirement speech.

I'd still have to give the slight edge to bud. More seasoned and experienced, though his resume is on the thinner side considering how highly he is ranked.

Ortiz has a fantastic jab. Power jab, but Bud's jab is very versatile.

I am as impressed with Ortiz's left hook to the body as I am with his jab. It is a nasty weapon. It is what got Hooker into trouble and what wore down Kava.

What Ortiz needs to work on is movement. more precisely, making opponents miss. As it stands, he is a high-guard "shell up" type of fighter. Not saying that his defense is horrible, but it is what can be worked on the most.

If this fight happens, it would be fantastic for boxing.

Fanboy of who ? :zpong: skills ?

At least I'm not stalking other people's opinions like you :bump

Why are you so sensitive about other people's posts ?

I wanna talk about boxing, but you always try to make it about other people in this forum. why ? That's immaturity, that's insecurity.

Anyway, wanna argue about Ortiz outboxing Crawford ? or continue talk about other people? Let's see if you love boxing more than stalking
