That De La Hoya was robbed in the second Mosley fight. I want to preface by saying I haven't seen the fight in many years, so I may be off here, but I recall watching it with my father on PPV live and I felt like most, that DLH got shafted. I rewatched it the next day without the commentary and changed my mind. I saw how Mosley could have earned it. What I remember is that Lampley and others were slobbering over DLH from the outset, exaggerating his effectiveness, while Mosley landed the cleaner, harder shots. One thing that was always interesting about that fight was that the overwhelming amount of television watchers had DLH winning, while a clear majority of ringside writers had Mosley winning. To me, it highlighted how influential colored commentary can be.

Myth - Marty Jakubowski is NOT the GOAT.

    Truth - He IS

When interviewed Foreman he has always had good words for all his victims, for Frazier, for Norton, for Cooney. Hes a preacher, he knows the art of speaking. But his true hidden thought Is: " I bust all them up as gnats".

I always respected that about him when he was in his comeback. He rarely if ever spoke ill of others

Foreman before J. Young would have bragged in interviews that he destroyed them. But after Young he began a new life, he began to preach and speak well of everyone especially his opponents. The truth is that in his heart he knows he destroyed them.

It’s possible that he may have been telling the truth that he was intimidated going in to some of those fights though. Frazier and Norton were pretty scary dudes

I knew this horse years ago that had no shoes. I often wondered why. He would mumble something about Jack Dempsey and walk away.

Intimidating a reporter and challenging Joe Frazier have nothing to do with each other. George was definitely concerned about Frazier. He was telling the truth. Joe was a badaas.

How about losing a point for multiple fouls? Does that upset a Leonard fans delicate sensibilities? Was Marvin Hagler told before the bout Leonard could foul in a variety of ways. The Leonard apologists bring the absurdity. 1 point deducted changes that fight. Had he continued to fould a DQ would be eventually be a fair result but we didnt get there did we? Why? Because Steele did nothing about any of the fouls.
Perhaps the 118-110 was the most accurate. Anyone without Sugar Ray Leonard pom poms had that much closer.

This is why I occasionally mock Leonard fans because their not reasonable. Revisionist history at the highest level.

Perhaps it was in the contract. The real fine print. "Leonard can commit a variety of fouls without penalty " i see it now. Then the last line of the contract says "get over it Hagler!" The hell with fair play.
Cut the crap...your not a (Hagler fan) or a (Duran fan) or (Hearns fan) your a Sugar Ray Leonard fan. That old ploy is transparent. Wanting to see a great champion get a fair shake makes Hagler "my boy" so be it.

You read it here ladies and gentlemen! The thought of Sugar Ray Leonard losing a point in a boxing match where he clearly committed fouls is outrageous and absolutely insane. Throwing a bolo punch low is harmless. Hitting on the break, holding and hitting, after the bell...its all good along as its Ray. It's fine.

The Classic Forum you read it here. I better take a good hard look at myself for even raising the question.

Foreman has never been afraid of anyone before a fight imo. It is true that some of his bouts have been very troubled, as with Ali, Lyle, Young, Holyfield or Morrison, not with Frazier though... I think he has had for sure moments in those fights where he has thought: "I cant beat him" but not " Im scared of him", he has always been convinced that he could destroy and kill all his opponents.

Before the fight my opinion Is he never feared none. Too big, too powerful and too chinned for all.
