Luis Ortiz, Guillermo Rigondeaux, Yordanis Despaigne, Eliecer Castillo, Sullivan Barrera, Odlanier Solis, Richar Abril... Something in the water down there, a majority of Afro-Cuban boxers on average look a good several years to a decade or two beyond their real age. Kind of like Nigerians. Old news.
Well I don't think Pac was doing much sparring. Pac doesn't need as much sparring at this stage in his career as the younger fighters do. Also I don't think you can under estimate how all the rest and time off has made it easier for Pac to come back refreshed and avoid injury. Younger fighters who fight more regularly than Pac has have had more opportunities to get injured over that time. Pac is more experienced whereas a younger fighter does not know the limits of his body, which can easily cause a younger fighter to push himself harder in the gym or in sparring and get accidently injured while preparing for a fight. Older more experienced fighters like Pac generally know how to avoid injuries in camp. It's interesting you bring up the Mayweather Pacquiao fight and the shoulder injury, because that's very similar to what Ugas appears to be going through here. A fighter pretending he's not injured to get the biggest payday of his career even though we can see he's hiding an injury. This is never good, it always leads to a disappointing fight.
I actually looked it up, they did briefly have a Commie party for about half a decade, but it was banned 55 years ago.
Old joke about communism, my bad translation: After dissolution of USSR russians sold glass coffin with Lenin to americans. Americans placed him on top of empire state building. Some day Lenin wakes up, looks at all those beautiful skyscrapers and expensive cars and says: "Thats how I imagined communism!"
Gotta love how PEDquiao stays in shape all these years Really is the Lance Armstrong of boxing I'm surprised he hasn't burned a hole through a cup during testing
