It’s sad to see a great fighter not looking like the same fighter that made him a legend. But, like any ATGs, all great things have to come to an end. Pac was fortunate to not have been in the ring with Spence and he still has his health intact. Hopefully he can retire for good and let the younger fighters rise. It’s the end of a great era. Thank you so much for all the great performances, wars, and memorable bouts that you gave us. It’s been a privilege to witness an ATG.
It's been a great ride. Legendary career and so many exciting fights fans will remember for decades. Respect.
I hope he hangs it up. He’s an old shell of what he used to be. He’s got nothing to prove and he will only continue to decline. Thanks for the memories.
IDC what anyone says, still goat, still a legend. Most loved fighter of this generation. Look at the mofo walking out to a standing ovation even in defeat. How many fighters would get this sort of response? This content is protected Nobody really cares about him losing anymore. He got ktfo by JMM, fans still loved him. He had a worse loss against Horn.
Agree 100%. Nothing left to prove, and a ton to lose if he keeps fighting on - i'd hate to see him carry on like RJJ getting knocked out be folks not fit to tie his prime shoelaces. I hope all his team and advisors persuade him to go out - relatively, even in defeat - at the top. His legacy could still continue to rise if Ugas goes on and beats either Spence or Crawford (neither I think likely, but you never know)
I don’t know any gayweather but I do know TBE (The Best Ever) Floyd Money Mayweather who schooled Pacquiao. Mayweather and Marquez greater than Pacquiao in ATG list. Marquez is Pacquiao’s Daddy.
He should have retired after thurman but how manny fighters go out on a high note? not manny.. Hell of a career that will never be forgotten as long as humans exist.
Even Canelo has much higher atg place than Marquez lol. Gayweather-Pac result was robbery according to a lot of boxing fans. There was no schooling in that fight.
Wonderful fighter. He didn’t come out of the olympics or the amateurs highly touted and expected to become a world champion. He started from the bottom and worked his way up the ranks, as talented as he was, he learned and listened when joining Roach and together became one of the best of his generation. He has done enough, he doesn’t need to win another fight and then retire. We don’t want to see another Holyfield scenario.
