Yes it’s time for Pacquiao to call it a day in boxing. Wish him the best for the future and let’s hope he becomes President of the Philippines in the upcoming election in 2022.

Not going to happen. He F'd up big time by pissing off Duterte. Duterte called him out for being a part-time senator and not paying billions in taxes. DOH. Manny will get KOd by whomever Duterte backs. Duterte has real people power here.

The taxes thing is a joke though. Most of his money goes back to PH regardless.

Kinda funny, after the fight, Joe Goosen intimating politics is much easier than boxing........not in the Philippines. Manny geniunely wants to help people and he does. That can be dangerous, especially in the Philippines.

Are you filipino? Cuz if you are then you would understand. Do you have any idea what type of senator he is? What bills he has passed? What hes like in plenary sessions? How he actually is outside of the boxing ring? For you to think that hes qualified to be president is laughable and is an insult to any institution. FOH with him being a president.

He has so many shortcoming as a politician. Dont come here saying hes presidentiable.

I mean, he has a degree in some field related to political science and was president of the PDP-L. He’s also chair of both the ethics and public works senate committees.

Duerte vs Casimero would be like post presidential Trump vs pre presidential Trump.

And? How does that prove that hes excellent? Tito sotto is the senate president, surely hes not of outstanding quality. Damn apart from authoring an OFW handbook, he hasnt passed or authored a single quality bill that would actually help the poor. He hasnt even done anything for athletes in the country.

He is frequently absent and hasnt produced anything substantial as a congressman or as a senator.

I didn’t say he’d be excellent, just that he, on paper, has the qualifications to be president. He is far more qualified than Trump was, and Trump didn’t mess up anything as a result of his lack of qualifications. (Views are a different matter) Plus he’s a democratic socialist just like Duerte, so I doubt actual life in the Philippines would change too much.
