It gets harder to cut weight as a fighter gets older. To me, his legs did not look all there. He did not look as explosive. He made his career on explosive aggression and the ability to move in and out of range using his legs. While he can beat some guys, father time waits for nobody. He's done so much the sport. I'd like see him bow out now gracefully.
I agree that would be a better weight for him. It's just that historically, cutting weight gets harder as fighters age. I really hope he just retires. I want to see him retire while he still has his health.
I suspect that to make 135 lbs for him will be torture. 140 lbs: I think no problem at all. Like Loma, he now is old, I think to make 130 lbs for him might be not a big deal, while 126 lbs when he is 33? Naw.
No need to kick Pac-Man when he's down. Using this opportunity to claim Mayweather would of schooled Pacquiao in 2010. That's a bold statement. I don't think many fans would agree with you on that. Wiz, you complain a lot, how about you doing less complaining and more talking boxing.
I didn't say that in this thread don't know what you're talking about. You're the one trying to hate on pbf.
How about you mind your own business? You aint changing due to others so neither will i And i can't talk boxing with you, your views are outrageous and deluded
I thought he looked like a man trying to do an impression of Manny Pacquiao. Sometimes and very briefly the impression was persuasive, but deep down you could tell - in boxing terms - it wasn't him in there...
I agree I think that Spence would've well and truely ended his career not only is he big and skilled like Ugas he also hits like a truck. I think it worked out better for Pac he should be allowed to continue his career picking and choosing who he wants to fight.
Let's be real Ugas is not a style that was good for Pacquiao if you were rooting for Pac, on paper going in. That's why I actually thought it was pretty A-grade, ballsy, etc. of Pac to accept the fight even. High risk/low reward. Now I did pick Pac to win a clear decision so not trying to say it was so obvious. I don't know seems like I'm already questioning not seeing it coming. I guess with boxing you just expect the A-side to get the nod in tight decisions every time. Ultimately guess I underrated Ugas is the reality.
He looked slow, confused, old and just plain bad. Sure, as a 26 yr veteran he still has muscle memory skills but his brain is making promises that his body can't fulfill.
