Skills win fights as proven again by Ugas over Pacquiao

Which skills? Lol. Ugas' only advantages were stamina and size.

 

Ugas was 7 years younger and much bigger and these were huge contributing factors to his win. However the man definitely has good skills and he came in with a strong game plan.

 

78 years old Pac won 4-5 rounds imo. Compubox stats are also very close. Even 2019 Pacquiao could defeat Ugas. Pac is just too old now and must be retired.

 

So he doesn't actually want to credit Ugas at all. He just used his win - deflecting attention from his night of glory - to make it about long-retired Mayweather and recall a fight from six years ago. Think that's incredibly disrespectful to the man who just won the biggest fight of his career...

 

A younger bigger good fighter won a close but clear decision (in my opinion) over an ancient all-time great. Makes sense. I agree that Pac needs to retire.

 

Manny couldn`t deal with their long lead hands and got out-jabbed in both fights, a good long jab would always be a problem to Manny.

 

He fought a stupid fight because he doesn`t have a high boxing IQ.

 

It would be, if it was intended to be praising Ugas, but that was not the intention. He was praising Mayweather, focusing on a fight from the previous decade and rubbing salt into the wound of a defeated legendary fighter. It was disingenuous, passive aggressive and disrespectful towards both Ugas and Manny. But hey, I guess he was appealing to casuals on Twitter who still think boxing is all about Floyd...

 

The day i listen to that twit, will be the day i start watching Netball instead

Yeah like when Whitaker destroyed Azumah Nelson and made him look like a novice. Nelson had the reputation of being a beast but Pernells skills turned him into a puppy.
