That's all I've been saying. SRL is better than both PBF and Pac. I'm just trying to explain that to these morons who say Pac is the GOAT, when he's not even better than SRL who's not a top 10 ATG.
Ugas would’ve beaten mid 90s Camacho’s ass and you know it. Aww, Duran didn’t give Leonard credit for beating him. Sorry about Leonard’s and your feelings. And im sure Leonard had much better opponents available than granting Hearns a rematch. GTFOH. Pac being prime at 126/130 and beating guys like Cotto and Bradley would be like Leonard beating Hill and Maske. He did no such thing. Keep giving the cokehead pass for his pampered career and paid judges.
Canelo was bigger than Cotto though. It still would’ve been a title fight if Cotto came in at 160. Separate issue.
It wouldn't have happened from my understanding if Cotto came in at 160. I have not been arguing same issue, just that it's ridiculous that it was allowed, same as 168/175 lb titles on the line in the same fight.
I don't know if Ugas would have beaten Camacho that's not a forgone conclusion. Duran acted like a jackass about him quitting like a ***** against SRL. Why give a guy who quit and gave you no respect or credit a rematch? That's only human nature to feel disrespected. I don't blame him for not re matching Hearns he was a beast and almost impossible to outbox he fought him again years later though. Pac's best win is MAB that would be like SRL's 4th or 5th best win. That's how vast the difference in opposition was. You keep thinking a who's best win is MAB and lost to a faded Erik morales and got KTFO by JMM is better than SRL if you want to. His resume doesn't back your claim.
Here’s an exercise for you: count out their title wins and defenses (legit ones only, no Lalonde) and wins over top ten contenders. Tell me if you see the difference? I’d expect a high ranking ATG to have a deep resume, not just a great top 5 with help of the judges.
If you're going to play that game then count up the loses and how bad they were and the quality of fighters both SRL and Pac beat. My guess is you wont like the results.
Pac would lose to SRL Duran Hearns and Benitez at 147. I won't even bring up Hagler because he's a MW. Pac isnt fit to carry SRL's spitbucket.
Don't sweat these guys. They're mad and upset Manny lost. Understandable. So, instead of dealing with their feelings of saddnes, they lash out at someone or something in an effort to make themselves feel better. You see, arguing with you makes them forget their pain.
Benitez was getting draws with Weston and Duran had plenty of issues at 147+, so those two are debatable. what isn’t debatable is whether Leonard was a top 2 fighter on the planet while three or four weight classes higher than his optimum weight. He wasn’t.
He fought at 147 he as a WW you want to start to tear down his wins do you? What about MAB? He lost to Junior Jones who was no great fighter not only that he was seen on his way down when Pac beat him, he had brain surgery. Morales just lost to Raheem a nobody when Pac beat him. Pac couldn't even beat a past it Erik Morales in the 1st fight. What isn't debatable is some of Pac's so called best wins were against guys coming off loses or they weren't at their best. His resume has more doubt in it than SRL's who with only 40 fights did more than Pac did in over 70.
